As this is my first year dressing, and seeing these "costumes" just curious as to what might be a good first one to get and wear is. Since a lot of us have used this time of year as a starting point. Ideas?
I haven't even talked with my wife yet about Halloween. Whatever I go as has to be Star Wars themed and appropriate for children.
I will dress as I normally do. No costumes necessary in my room.

I rediscovered Halloween a few years ago. In 2015, I was the Candy Corn Witch.

Last year I went as myself: The Devyl. I don't have a pic of that one.
This year I'm in a witch costume again since my hair is perfect for this. Black dress with purple bats.
Hugs, Devlyn

Beautiful work. Couldn't have done it better myself. <wiping away a tear> I'm so proud of you right now!

Very nice, and sexy. May do a witch.;)
Didn't go last year, year before I was a nurse. Not one of those scanty bedroom costumes, a real uniform dress.
You know how black is slimming?
White isn't!
I looked like an iceberg hunting for the Titanic!
I still had fun!
You look really cute in that costume Devlyn. I don't need a costume at all as I learned a couple of years ago. I didn't go anywhere so I didn't dress up and just gave out candy. This one couple who were with their little boy went nuts when I answered the door. The woman started saying how awesome my costume was and talking about what a good job I had done with the makeup and how it looked so even and that she was impressed that I had even put it on my hands and how did I keep it from coming off. I didn't have my tinted contacts in and the husband told me my FX contacts were cool and very creepy. They never mentioned what they thought I was supposed to be so I don't know. I didn't bother to tell them I wasn't wearing makeup or contacts. I just said thanks. I did however drop a bunch of chocolate laxatives in the kid's bag though. (Just kidding).
Thanks! I brought a plastic pumpkin with 800 mini Tootsie Rolls to the party and gave them out.
Hugs, Devlyn
Two years ago I went as an ugly old witch, using a costume hat with scraggly gray hair built in. Wore one of my wife's black skirts. Some women saw me from the back and commented about "that woman is so tall" but I certainly didn't try to pass from the front.
Last year we went all in and each of us cross dressed seriously for a big public event at the Fine Arts Center. I wore a white prom dress, wig and makeup but even a 12 year-old boy saw that I didn't pass. Still it was fun. Our picture went on their Facebook gallery.
This year my wife said she wanted to do that again, just need to find a suitable event. So I guess it went well for her too.
So...have fun with it, and don't worry about who sees you. Anything goes at Halloween!

My wife has known about my crossdressing since we first met. We never really discussed it too much because I felt she wasn't ready to. She is now wanting to try it out for the first time this halloween. I am so excited to have the opportunity, however I do not know what to even wear or where to even go.
