Today, I received some barely black holdup stockings with lacy tops.
I donned a black bra, matching suspender belt, bright pink lipstick and wedge heels.
I have been wearing the holdups and suspender belt all day, and they are so comfortable that I forgot I was wearing stockings.
I removed my makeup and got into bed and the stockings felt fantastic on my legs between the sheets.
I have got out again to ask whether a bra, suspender belt and sheer stockings are simply too decadent in bed.

Not at all, if that is your style.
For myself, I would rather put on a little black dress and go out for the evening.
When I get back home, I remember what Marilyn Monroe said she wore to bed. Just Chanel No. 5. :eusa_dance:
Valerie I'm a nities and panties kinda girl for bed. But nothing is off the table if you enjoy it.

I have a nightie that on the back says
"Hug me if I'm cold"
the front says
"OK I'm hot"
I have no idea what it means >:-)
But it works!
Wear whatever suits you. Me, I like satin pajamas and panties.
Usually, I just sleep in the same bra, panties, and camisole that I wore during the day, figuring that I will take a bath or shower in the morning before work. But, wear whatever you like. everyone is different. I'm still working on where I am on the CD/TG continuum.
I've never worn a bra to bed (nothing to put in it) but stockings, garters, a nightgown? Sure! Wore pantyhose to bed last night myself. And I have more than one nightgown
Honestly, it does not really matter. I usually get into some nice satin pajamas, but sometimes if I am too lazy, I just crash right in my clothes. ;D I don't think it matters too much. Just do what feels right. ;)
I usually wear a corset and garter belt and stockings to bed or just panties and a bra, it all depends on my mood
A Nightdress and Panties
I wear onezy to bed and I love it just a pain when you have to go to the washroom
Whatever floats your boat.

In the warm months, I'm with Marilyn, but I sometimes add curlers.
Now that it's gotten colder at night I'm wearing a knee-length flannel nightgown with soft, warm thigh-high socks.

Always panties but most nights panties and satin nightgown. I feel very sensual and it takes away the masculine edge for sure, Best thing to wake up in because my wife loves me wearing satin to bed and she bought me my first satin nightgown years ago.
I always wear a sexy nightgown and underwear when I sleep.

I found I couldn't actually sleep in VS Satin PJs.
I have worn hold ups to bed when it was colder and it was a lovely feeling.

I love sleeping in VS Satin PJs but when I wake up the next morning I somehow always have accidental white stains down there which I got used to it.
Love sleepig in girl mode. I think it harkens back to me thinking there was a chance I would wake up a girl (sigh). Panties and satin nighty are awesome, tights/thigh highs are wonderful (your toes will cramp if the leggings get too tight). Sometimes ill try a whole outfit, but get distacted ;) or hot.
I suppose it may depend upon if you have a bedmate? Nothing is too decadent if sleep is the secondary goal!
Myself it is always just my skin between the sheets when playtime is over. I get all tangled and twisted if I wear anything.

The trick I found to wearing satin gowns to avoid getting tangled up is to have nylon or satin bottom sheet. I can turn so easily. Elderly care stores even have the top half of the sheet satin and the bottom cotton so your feet get a grip. Works great for us, dont get cheap satin. Nylon has been the best.
During the work week I sleep in night gown or t-shirt.
In my two little rest days I sleep either in night gown/t-shirt or in lingerie. Usually a nice chemise or lace body suit. And those little unusual triangle strings.
I do wear a babydoll nightie & matching frilly pink knickers sometimes. But mostly I wear a nightie, no lingerie at all.

Satin and lace Chemise and panties or satin cami with tap pants every night. I can't sleep in anything else. Not even Marilyn style.
I used to sleep dolled up mode ;D Stockings, panties and mini skirt. Light makeup. I miss doing that so much

Donica your choice sounds wonderful. Some nights for me it has just as much to do with the feel as it does the beauty of the lingerie. Even though I am this big guy I love how lingerie looks and feels on me. :)
I love lingerie too, but not to sleep in. I have gotten so used to sleeping without any clothes that the few times I've tried it I end up taking it off.
Personally I don't wear lingerie in bed. My usual night-time attire is a nightdress with panties.

My wife is the same way, and I give her an A for effort, but someone needs to wear the lingerie in the family, thats me!

I call my nightdress and panties lingerie since they come from the Intimate apparel Dept.

I have never really thought of nightdresses as lingerie - I tend to keep that label for items such as bras, panties, suspender belts etc. But I suppose you are right as they are normally found in the same department.
The more I think about I am comparing to what is available in the men's Dept but I see what you're saying. Panties etc in the woman's Dept are essentials and lingerie is special. That works! :). My nightdresses are satin and might fall between lingerie and essential sleep wear.
There has been a few times I was able to do that and had a cute nightie I wore plus a matching pair of panties. Felt so comfortable but I don't think I'd be able to much more then that.
