At 6 months I've recently switched to dilation once daily -- my doc's schedule had me changing down to daily at 3 months. It's working fine, if I do twice in a day it doesn't feel any different and now I'm following the dilators every time with a silicone toy because the dilators taper at their tips and I want to work on full depth all the way down.
What I'm curious about is at what point others have found they can engage in PIV sex with a well endowed (or even normally endowed) partner without having to dilate first?
I.e., how long until I'm like a natal female for PIV? And to be clear, my GF enjoys being penetrated with little or no foreplay and that's usually her preference (and mine for receptive anal). Also, nearly all the women I've been with have been capable of enjoying that even if it may not be a preference.
In terms of geometry, my vaginal entrance seems readily amenable to taking more girth, Howe once I get to about 1½ inches, it tightens noticeably and the next 2 inches have a couple of very tight ridges and while after dilation I can accept a nice size toy for 10-15 minutes, soon it returns to needing to go back to a dilator again. It feels like this is going to take a long time to get past. Even after dilating I have trouble getting a couple of fingers beyond that first inch of depth.
I wonder if anyone has experience to help me with whether they eventually get to a point of easy penetration?
I am not sure this is what you are after but I dilate once a week and insertion takes a little over a minute. I also went 10 years without dilation (or sex) and when I resumed dilation, I started out with my standard dilator but it took about a month of twice a week to get things back the way they were before. I don't know for sure how long you have to go before there will be minimal loss if you don't dilate but it would be after healing is complete. If I were to guess, it could be as long as a couple of years before the body stop closing up the surgery but it could be longer.
My surgeon gave me the rule that a round of sex was equal to one dilation however I am unable to verify this.
Thanks Dena, good to know recovery after that long not dilating is even possible. I actually enjoy dilation so far and so at least for now staying with daily is quite easy.
A minute to full depth is about where I'd be if I were using the Orange without first using the next size down - Green and I imagine without dilation before I could.accept an average size penis to full depth in about the same time.
You're right, what I'm looking for is how long until I no longer need dilation in advance of sex (if ever). It's not a show stopper, I don't pass soy partners will always know I'm trans and if I will always have to make some accommodation for that in terms of penetrative foreplay, that's entirely ok, just looking for a sense of what's worked for other women..
