The modelling industry is terrible for damaging people's health.
I'm waiting for demand to pick up in the trans*,  old and plus-size space then Milan will be knocking down my door [emoji23]

Caroline Cossey has already been in Playboy.. She wasn't Playmate though.

Caroline didn't look like she needed a sandwich.

...So what she's slim. I'm just as slim myself and it's due to genetics. Sheesh.

Anyway, YAY. That's progress! This is the best news ever. :)

Caroline, or Tula as she was known, was my heroine in her time.  She was also a Bond girl and fashion model.  I'm not surprised that trans women sometimes become successful models.  I think that some of the most beautiful cis women, especially fashion models, have trans qualities such as tallness (can I say that? I think that some people took offence in a related topic).  Also in the 1980s, I remember a South African trans woman appearing on the cover of Vogue's Mexican edition, although I think she was only outed afterwards.

Good for her! I can't wait to take photos later in my transition. Not that I'm a model or anything just for fun...   :)

Say what you will about models and such, but these people are gradually helping to rework the public opinion of transgenders-- in a positive way, I think. Before the relatively recent rise of androgynous and transgender models, the public mental image of TG people was still associated with comedians in drag (i.e. Mrs. Doubtfire). These pop culture pioneers are gradually showing that transgender people can be as beautiful as any other woman. TG is starting to become somewhat "cool". I've always considered the Playboy centerfold thing silly, but this is a cultural acceptance landmark. In the long run I think we'll all benefit from it.
