Hello all, I'm Addison or just Addi.
I'm a non-binary, transfeminine person, or a genderqueer trans person, or a transfeminine lesbian tomboy. Yeah, I'll come up with an identifier eventually. Basically, I'm a non-binary person, transitioning MTF, who has a soft butch presentation and is into women. I just call it being Addi.
I'm currently 47. I figured out that I'm genderqueer at about 42 and realized I should transition when I was 45 or so. I started therapy right after I turned 46 and HRT right after I turned 47. It's only been a month and I'm already seeing changes that all my research said would take several months to manifest. It's pretty exciting. (Did anyone else get tingling lips?)
I'm an academic so a large part of exploring myself was doing research on the subject of gender and its component parts (biological sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, romantic orientation and gender presentation). I spun that research into a creative project for a master's degree and now I'm trying to spin that project into a business, Addison's Agenda: LGBTQ Awareness Education. My focus in this business is teaching physicians and educators about gender theory, LGBTQ issues and how to be better allies to the community. It's still a startup and I'll be approaching potential clients in the next month or two.
I think that's about it. Let me know if you'd like to know anything else.

Hi Addi!
Now I wish I had an alliterative name too.
Hello Addi,
Thank you for joining, and for writing an intro. I am MtF and have found the effects of HRT quite exciting - in my case an immediate change to sensory perception. The physical changes I'm noticing are much more gradual. I never felt my lips tingle but that sounds really cool.
One of the guidelines for Susan's Place defines the minimum number of posts before links can be included, so I had to remove the link from your post.
I am glad you're here, and looking forward to seeing you around.
