I'm trying to buy a real wig, and following the sizing guidelines I'm a little confused by the measurements I got...
Apparently, in "ear to ear" and "front to back" I'm petite or petite/average (wigs.com sizing chart) at 13-13.25 inches and 13.75-14 inches respectively. But in circumference I'm not even on the wigs.com chart, above the largest at 24 inches. Is this even possible, or am I doing something wrong measuring circumference?
What I really don't understand though is that wigs.com says go with the ear to ear measurement above the others. But would a petite fit a large circumference?
I'm assuming that the site's charts are for female averages so maybe falling prey to a trans specific issue in natal male vs female head circumference. For random wigs I bought off Amazon fit best with the hooks in the outer "loops" for another reference.
Hi
I take a 61cm motorcycle helmet (24"), and I go for large wig caps, or medium but don't use the straps at all with medium but large size are best.. That is for Amazon wigs or for Henry Margu (or something like that) wigs - if your in the UK I use Wigs4u as they aren't Chinese rip offs etc. Currently loving a Bethany in 8H colour and its gorgeous (I'm a spitting image of the model btw - I wish)
Best of luck (remember sizes vary a little wig to wig and by supplier like all garments), try and follow their measuring instructions and you will be OK. remember that if it doesn't fit many places will take a return, but check first. If its a close sizing then you can always expand it a little at your own risk - look for suitable vids on YouTube.
