Ever since I did SRS, it feels harder for me to cram in large amounts of food.
I still eat by weight and volume more food than most people I know, because I am whole food plant based, so my food is less calorie dense than it is for most people but I am used to having one big meal a day plus snacks, and now I find I have to have two big meals a day instead.
Also, when I do eat something more processed and calorie dense, I feel like I am full on half the amount of food I was used to eating before surgery.
Is this some sort of emotional change that happened to me or could it be that after surgery, I have a new hole now that is pressing against my intestines which in turn is pressing against my stomach making me feel fuller on less food?
My stomach is still inflated compared to the rest of my skinny body, though as usual, it is less inflated when I avoid processed food... so I won't be modeling any time soon, but it is nice to feel it is harder for me to overdo junk food post surgery.
If you eat a plant based diet, barring nuts, legumes and avocados, you'll have to eat a lot more volume to get the same calories as food with more fat. I tried penn Jillette's diet and thought I was going to die. Keto works for me, but some don't like that much fat and protein. Whatever works for you. IMO, if you eat a lot of carbs and you're sodium intake is high from junk/processed food, you'll probably retail a lot of water. It's one of the things I noticed after ditching high salt snacks and lowering carbs. Anyway, if your weight is in the normal range and your blood work for fats, sugar, etc come back within normal range, don't worry about it.

I'm okay with my weight, it is definitely not overweight. Some argue I am a bit underweight, but I prefer erring on the under side over having my belly inflate more when I eat processed food.
Blood is okay, the only thing that is sometimes sketchy is my folic acid, even though I eat lots of plants, it seems to come out right only when I don't slack on eating lots of greens.
I am still getting enough calories, I just have to spread them out more than I did before, and before I was doing something abnormal anyway that I ate one really big meal and snacks, now I eat two big meals instead. They aren't as big, but overall I would assume it is the same amount of calories every day.
I didn't make the post to announce or consult on a problem, I am more just curious if it is possible that mechanically SRS made my stomach capacity smaller, because even when I do go off the whole plant based wagon and eat something processed, it seems I don't binge as much as before, I get full too fast to binge as much as I did before... which is a good thing in my opinion, I just wonder about the mechanistics for curiosity's sake.
I would say no, to answer your question.

+1 on SRS affecting your hunger by mechanical means.
In my experience, my appetite diminished after SRS because I was eating comfort food to relieve my dysphoria which is now completely gone.
