Hi Everyone.
I've been sitting here at the crossroads blindfolded for 36 years, convinced I am not something that i am. Until very recently my wife pushed me to talk about the things hidden within my mind. I had to first take a look, to find who was in there. That's how i found my true self.
Now i can remove the blindfold and start moving forward with my life. It's going to be a long journey, but my Wife stands by me, ever fearful of the affect my transition will have on our children. Living in Victoria, Australia, i have been referred to a public gender clinic, so I'll be waiting 5 months to talk to the professionals. In the mean time i am finding it harder to want to go out in man clothes, I'm working on voice adjustment but I'm not convincing anyone. We have some supportive friends, and haven't completely lost anyone yet.
It goes without saying that i am interested in talking to everyone about their experiences, but also if there are any Victorians in the audience I'd like to hear from you, let's share.
Welcome Chloe. I live in Britain but there seem to be quite a lot of Australian members, so you are sure to have people with whom to share. You've certainly come to the right place.
Welcome Chloe, glad you are here. My name is Moni. I am from the US. Great to hear of your support. It makes life easier. Hope to see you around.

Chloe, when I read your line about men's clothing I had to respond! I've reached the point where I don't want to wear ANY men's clothing. Footwear, pants, jackets all carry a negative vibe for me. I'm not ready to step out in women's clothing and now feel stuck in the middle. So I understand ...
Best of luck to you as you work your way through.
