Hello Michelle, welcome to Susan's!
I am MtF, headed down a similar road and can share your excitement for anticipating hormone therapy - I could barely wait those two months earlier this year. I live in the Seattle area and many of the best medical practitioners have waiting lists.
I had thick beard stubble which I hated... completely gone now, I was able to stop shaving a year before I started HRT. That turned out to be one of my best decisions as it made many other parts of transition easier.
Great to hear your friends and family have been positive overall. That's when you know who your real friends are, and a family you can truly count on. If a particular family member doesn't accept your goals they might require more time to adjust and understand.

Welcome Michelle. How I wish I was back in BC. Got married in Victoria and graduated from UVic. Now live in Seattle area (sort of since I am on the other side of the water). And I am pre everything.
Hiya Michelle! I am hopefully about to start HRT myself, looks like we are on the same track! :)
I've decided to hold off on hormones till mid jan as the fertility clinic is extremely busy and i am unable to get an appointment till then with them so for that reason alone as i am just as sure if not more so that i want kids in my future
bc is great just really raining a lot and colder then normal its been like -1C - 5C over the past week or so at least all the snow has now melted but pretty rare to see snow on vic in November
