I had my legal name changed about 18 months ago. All my accounts have been updated with correct name.
I am however having so many issues with the theee major credit reporting agencies.
Experion- shows correct legal name, however my credit history is non existent before my name change. Under aliases my old legal name is nowhere to be seen.
Transunion and equifax both have my ssn connected with old legal name.
So I need to get all my credit history, and previous aliases on the same report, but am not sure how to move forward.
The options I've found to dispute my information aren't even close to this issue- nothing about incorrect legal name, previous aliases, and missing accounts/credit history.
Trying to get any of the credit agencies on the phone has been impossible, or wrong department (monitoring services tech support).
Anyone here been through this? If so how/what did you do to get everything corrected? What was needed, who did you talk with, and what was the timeline?
Thanks so much!
Brooke
I didn't have that problem because I didn't have credit before I changed my name. In any case, you might be doing it already but Annual Credit Report (https://www.annualcreditreport.com/reviewYourReport.action) might be able to provide you with some information.

Yeah. That's how I got started, alas they just sent me to the individual credit reporting agencies. Good suggestion though- was my first step
