As you know from a previous post, I came out to my sister last week. It went so amazingly well. I was literally grinning like an idiot at work the next day and with each text or email I'd get from my sister I got choked up. I'm not used to being happy like this. Misery and discomfort was my baseline. Today, she sent me this:
"Oh man....I'm regretting this whole thing didn't happen a thousand years ago. Having a sister is so much fun. You've been awesome as a sibling too, but as far as sisters go, so much more fun things to do. We should probably plan something fun once a month while I'm here....."
I had to tell her I've dreamt of a quote like that. I never thought it would happen, not in a million years. Pinching myself here.
Now I'm worried that this is a honeymoon phase and it wears off. God I hope not.

Super happy (and a little envious) for you. X

That really is great. You have a wonderful sister and she's made it obvious that she has one too. Whether or not the elation cools, that's got to feel good forever.
OMG, I have happy tears just reading this! You must be floating a metre off the ground.
I am so glad you are experiencing such happiness. We need to re-set our baselines when we become our true selves.
Just try to relax and be yourself, be genuine. The rest will take care of itself.

Bari Jo that is so great and I thought it would be okay. From what you had described it sounded like your sister would be cool. I wish mine was a little cooler with everything. My family likes to make jabs about decisions I make. I am an adult geez!!! Anyway my ex-wife is really great with everything though. So congrats!!!!!
I'm so happy for you. I told you you would be able to do a lot of fun stuff with your sister. I'm happy she thinks so too. I would love to have a sister to do fun stuff with. But my brother is really great so I guess I'll keep him. Lol
I'm so happy for you. Enjoy it for all it's worth, you deserve it. Hearing about lifts my spirit too and makes my day so much brighter.
That is truly heart warming, I hope my sister is the same way! (Even if I have to wait until she's a little older. ;D)
Thanks everyone. I won't get to see her face to face for a few weeks yet. I know there will be tearful hugs. I can't wait.

I'm happy for you and totally jealous. My sister is doing pretty good but nowhere near this well.
Congrats!
