Next year i'll be able to afford to do one of those and wanted to get some opinions on which i should do first in terms of passing.
My body is pretty top heavy and my waist is small which makes shopping for clothes hard. I also don't feel like wearing pads just to fill out my dresses and jeans.
However at the same time having a passable voice is pretty important but i heard you can't get surgery for 6 months after. Which would you girls go with first?
As far as which is more important for passing I'd say voice for sure, but have you exhausted all attempts at getting that through training? If you didn't have to spend money on that, it would allow you to do the BBL. It's also so hit or miss it sounds like to begin with. Someone else in another thread also mentioned that you should do VFS last because other surgeries can ruin it easily.
Personally I'd go with BBL, but as I am not really crazy about VFS to begin that is definitely biased. (Not that I have experience with either yet.)
My order of importance was Trachea shave and a nose job at the same time. GCS and last was VFS. I am still flat on the back side and only about a B cup but your body isn't really what makes you pass. Your face and your voice are the primary things that gender you. I had VFS because it wasn't possible for me to hit the feminine range through therapy alone. VFS can fail causing a loss of voice so it should only be considered when you have no other options.
VFS for sure!
Plenty of ciswomen have narrow hips and small butts, but not many of them sound like men when they talk.
Agreed with the majority of the opinions on here voice should be a last resort. I have also heard sometimes that he cords relax back and you are right back where you are at. Now if that is the 2 surgeries you really want I would go with the other. As far as passability voice, trachea, and face really give you away. I am working on my and voice and 95% of the time that I talk with customers on the phone identify me as ma'am. If it were me I wouldn't even do either of those surgeries. For a good booty and thighs filled out exercises really help!!!! Good luck!!!!
Have there been any cases of Yeson's VFS patients surgery failing? I know there are cases where there wasn't much pitch increase but I wouldn't consider that a fail.
Voice would be top priority, I guess. I've mentioned before that even with voice training, some can't shake the "trans voice", which, even though it might be in "female range" will get you clocked no doubt. If you're having a hard time with it then as a last resort, fix it. However, I'll emphasize again that "talking female" relies as much on inflection/mannerisms/expressions as it does on pitch. Not to mention, that if those mannerisms are unnatural/forced, then people will surely hone in on those. It sometimes takes a lot of training to perfect these things, especially if you are a late transitioner trying undo years and years of male habits.
