I just joined today, can't figure out how I had not discovered Susan's Place a long time ago.
I'm a 63-year-old part-time, non-op T-girl. I identify with being female. I lived and worked as a woman for two years, 20 years ago in a "self-administered" real life test but gave it up to pursue a career opportunity. I don't regret that I did but at this point in my life, I am ready to pick up where I left off in 1997.
That means living and working 24/7 as Miranda. I am especially interested in connecting with other T-girls 55+ who are making the transition to full-time or have already.
I'm trying to figure out how to add my photo to my profile. Can anyone help me? Or do you have to make a certain number of posts or be here a certain length of time to do so?
I'm looking forward to becoming a member of the community here, especially with girls my age and in a similar situation, especially if you, like me, are dating men or are living with a ma. I am especially interested in learning more about the dynamic of living with a man, as a woman.
Best,
Miranda

Hi Miranda, welcome! I'm a 40 y/o full-time mtf girl in the UK.
I'm afraid I can't help with the dating/partner thing (currently flying solo), but I'm sure you'll find lots of great advice and friendly folks here. X

Welcome Miranda!
I am a 56 year young transwoman who started the transition ball rolling at 52... after a lifetime of relationships with women. I started dating men early in transition and my husband and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary in September.... the last four years have been an amazing ride and I am truly happy at levels I had never known were even available to me in life!
There is no substitute for a life that is truly your own... it sounds like you are hearing the call of the life that awaits you!! Feel free to let us know how we can help you along your journey... you now have a lot of sisters you never knew you had!!!
Onward we go brave girl
Ashley 😀🌻❤️
Hi Miranda,
I am Laurie, mtf, and started my transition at 64 just short of a year ago. As a new member there are some things that you should know about our site including that you will need 15 quality posts before you are able to upload an avatar picture. We restrict new users privileges for various reasons one of those being to prevent spamming. There are also penalties that could be imposed for padding posts to achieve the 15 post requirement so please don't do it. As you can see to the left I am a moderator here and we are here to keep the peace and help our user if we can.
With that said. I am one of those that are older, have started transition, and I have been living full time since late in June. I am receiving therapy from my gender therapist who I see regularly. I am undergoing electrolysis to remove facial hair and receiving voice lessons.
Because you are new, please let me say, Welcome To Susan's Place! Come on in and take a good look around. Perhaps I can even get you to tell us a little bit more about yourself so we can get to know you a little better and greet you properly.
Also I'll add some links and information below that can help you get more out of our site. Please take time to become familiar with them especially the RED one as we are always getting questions that are answered there.

Hey, I started my road about a year and a half ago. Now 15 months into HRT and unable to go through any surgery's. I am finally finding my stride. I'm 66 and living near Seattle, we have quite a few resources which makes it easier to find oneself and have met a slew of wonderful people.
Hi Miranda :icon_wave:

Hi Miranda, welcome to Susan's!
I don't really have a start date on my transition because I started gradually... initially just attacked all my facial hair, then body hair, then kinda eased into a sudden avalanche and it's awesome, I have never felt better about myself and my future. I am not at that 55+ line yet, let's see... that's less than ten months away. If I add sales tax to 54 I'm there.
Miranda, you look great! And most important you look happy. And confident. I know from personal experience that takes time.
Thanks for all the welcome messages, they are very much appreciated.
As it's now 2018, I hope very much to move my full-time transition forward.
Happy New Year to All!
Miranda

I'm a young'un, but I just wanted to say hi! I like saying hi. :D
