So one night I was sitting at home enjoying a bottle of wine, and I decided to change the name on my Facebook page. The next morning I woke up and remembered I was an admin on our company website which is partially outsourced to a friend of the company's owner. So of course I freaked out, and wasn't thinking straight when I did what I thought I had to do. Of course I try to change my name back, and of course Facebook says: Oh well, wait 60 days. So I'm in complete panic mode, and do some research on Facebook, and I send them a copy of my Drivers' License and tell them to change my name so it matches my Drivers License.
Of course, that was like completely the worst thing I had ever done in my life. I felt that I had completely betrayed myself and I was obviously at the point of tears when my boss walked in. She could tell that something bad had happened, and wanted me to tell her what was wrong. So I did.
She cried a little bit herself, hugged me, and told me all she wanted was for me to be happy.
As for my employee: I had been asking her different questions about hair and nails and last Friday she was on the phone with me checking her schedule and she just point blank asked me if I was transitioning. I thought for about two seconds and said yes. She said she was happy, and we spent about two hours just talking about stuff the next time I saw her. She also works at the bank my company does business with, and I saw her today. Per our agreement she used my DL name, but she wrote me a little note that said "I want to call you by your name." That made me feel so good. :)
Great coming out story. I want to be friends with your employee too. I can imagine her with that note.

Having great co-workers that support you is the best!!!! I can feel you on all of it. Mine have encouraged me to many things and even given me courage to do things I probably would have waited on. They are very excited to see what I and try different. So hope you can experience the same!!!!
