Hi everyone. So, Tristan's mother asked me to go black Friday shopping with she and a friend. According to Tristan black Friday is a big deal to her and she loves it. Sigh, the American tradition that she really likes would have to be black Friday. I couldn't very well tell her no. This is the first time she's asked me to do something with just her. I have never been shopping on black Friday. There is no sale amazing enough for me to leave my warm bed before dawn and then deal with mobs of rude ass people. My dad told me the police get a lot of calls on black Friday. People get into fist fights, people get trampled, pepper sprayed and one year a pregnant woman got trampled. Why a pregnant woman would risk being around a mob of people I have no clue. When I said I couldn't imagine what caused people to do that kind of stuff my brother gave me his explanation. He said when you get a bunch of women around a bunch of sales they lost all their self control and couldn't help acting like animals. Wow, smell like bacon much Tyler? I told him I was totally sure men went to black Friday too. He said no, it was like 90% women because men were too smart to get involved with black Friday. Yeah, sure.
So I wanted to hear your experiences with black Friday. Was it totally awful? Were the people like totally rude? Oh, and those of you who do black Friday, there are a lot of guys there too. Right?
I think it's dumb, maybe because I'm an early adopter. Every black Friday deal is for last year's OR last seasons model. The crowds make it miserable too. I just bought myself a new music player, knowing full well there is no reason to wait, since the model just started shipping two weeks ago. No black Friday deal on that. Besides if the deals don't sell out that deals price usually becomes permanent!

In store? It's a nightmare and I would sooner sprint through a field of bear traps with a blindfold on while being chased by Richard Simmons overdosed on Viagra (Richard Simmons, not me).
Online? I've gotten some amazing deals with no effort on video games. It's common for even new releases to be half off on Amazon throughout the countdown week and then on cyber Monday.

OMG, that's hilarious. Bear traps. Lol
I work in retail. So yeah short and sweet. HATE IT!!!!!!!! Wish it was not a thing but, it is so oh well.
I can't really reply to a Black Friday experience since I don't have any. I could never imagine fighting parking, crowds, waiting in line for something that I barely need and a price minimally lower (mostly) than normal .. or was cheaper months before that they marked up to put on sale. Take a decent product, mark it down significantly, and the amount of people fighting goes up exponentially.
No thanks, I'll buy it when I need it or during a 'normal' sale.
I hate crowds so an American Black Friday store sale is literally the embodiment of nightmare for me.
HORRID!!!
I don't leave my house on Black Friday, at least if I can help it....had to work a few years. People are crazier than usual on that day. Remember to keep a brick in your purse, money in your bra, and wear elbow and shoulder pads. A helmet, or 7 bottles of hair spray, is advisable as well. Or bring your brother, boyfriend, and dad along for a bit of protection.
I love Black Friday! No work, the mob scenes make a good excuse for not leaving the house, I'll be lounging around in my good couch underwear all day!
Hugs, Devlyn

My dad is working black Friday. It will be interesting to see how many calls he responds to related to black Friday. I couldn't get Tyler into a mall on black Friday at gunpoint. I did tell Tristan he should come with me but he said he already made plans with Tyler. Yeah right! Their big plans are to lie around, watch TV and eat leftovers.

Not really surprised. He's a police officer. I bet it's an all hands on deck kind of day.
I went once like around noon so i think it died down a bit. The whole store was a mess it was pretty funny lol
I only really like shopping when it's calm so i can take my time. I love when i find the right outfit that's exactly what im looking for [emoji4]

A giant PITA. Too busy full of greedy selfish people, often breaks out in a fight!
I'm not really against capitalism, but I start to really question it when Black Friday comes around. It just might be my least favorite day of the year. I'll find any excuse I can to stay inside that day.
Do grocery stores 'ave a 'BlackFriday'?? Otherwise never step in 'em, do mostly 'online' unless urgent need for NOW (which is rare).
'No tax' and 'free shipping' are our friends!!! Switched home gas service was confirmed this AM, cut THERM rate almost in half with winter coming on best deal that lasts ALL YEAR!!!!
I like the online deals. No problem with those. I always seem to have an empty wallet this time of year though.
