Post by: Bari Jo on November 27, 2017, 10:35:01 AM
So, what are you getting for cyber Monday?  The music player I want is on sale today, so there is my purchase.  No deals on the purses I want though boo!

What are you getting?

I brought an HP mixed reality VR headset last week... I now have less than no money for anything else!

Only thing on my list is a toddler bed... the old one fell apart last week after some jumping around. Not very exciting. Bought some boots Black Friday and now my budget is gone for the rest of the year ;D

I bought $450 worth of tall clothes from Penneys for $185. 1 pair jeans, 1 pair of pants. a multipack of panties, a front connecting bra, 3 blouses and a dress. And some jewelry. I've been very lucky to be able to acquire most the toys I've desired. In one sense staying in the closet allowed this. In another it's only things and my psyche was destroyed, my relationships were destroyed. But I was entertained.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are capitalistic traditions that I choose to avoid.  I do my spending on other days and do a fair amount on line too.

Recent purchases:  long denim skirt and about 10 different seeds for exotic plants.

The only thing I picked up this year was the new South Park game for $25. Normally I grab a ton of video games cheap, but I managed to restrain myself since I just don't have time to play them, and they keep dropping to 10-20 naturally by the time I get around to them. Nothing else I wanted was on sale, or it was too expensive to justify even on sale. I really needed a new laptop since my screen is just plain busted (and it's a weird model that is like 200+ to replace the screen alone...), but to actually get an upgrade I'd have to spend $500+ I don't have right now.

I was disappointed in the video game deals this year.  There was no Vita games at all on sale for cyber Monday.  Probably better for me though.  I already spent myself silly getting that damn music player.

I'm in with the Cyber Monday clothes shopping crowd. Macy's was doing a free shipping thing, so I grabbed some on-sale tops and skinny jeans. Macy's is one my list of good online dealers for clothes because they offer free return postage (or did last time I checked). Zappo's is the other one I like for that reason. They started out with just shoes, but now have a full selection of clothing.
