Title: Top Surgery and Nipple Piercings?
Post by: aves on November 28, 2017, 04:36:27 PM
Heyo,

I will be undergoing top surgery at some point in the (hopefully near) future. I have nipple piercings. Does anyone know if I will have to remove them permanently? I figure that I might have to for the surgery because they might get in the way of the process, but will my nipples be much different from pre-op to post-op?

If you're getting a double incision procedure (which you need to get if you're a large B cup or bigger) then the surgeon will cut around the nipple to make it smaller; which I imagine will affect the piercing hole. Plus it usually takes 6 weeks for the scars and nipples to heal so by that time the hole may have closed up

I was worried that was the case. I guess I could go get them re-pierced later on. They were more of a last attempt at making me like my breasts but now that I've had them for a while (2 years now) they feel like part of me. I guess I'll just have to see how I feel after surgery.

The surgery videos that Medalie has on youtube one of the guys has nipple piercings. He left the nipples alone and went back and fixed the nipples later. You would just have to talk to your surgeon about it and see what they suggest.
