Title: Anyone here in Dallas area?
Post by: sammie-em on November 29, 2017, 07:19:29 PM
I'm having a hard time finding others like me in Dallas. I have anxiety about going to a support group, especially alone... Would be nice to have a friend who understands what I'm going through....

Hi Sammie.  I'm not in Big D (used to live there though), I'm down in the Hill Country, NW of San Antonio.  Although there are plenty trans people in Texas, it's still a whole 'nother world compared to much of the US.  Good that you are joining us here, a lot of good people.  Always feel free to ask any questions and I'll always be happy to share what I might know, especially as it pertains to the trans experience in this state.  Toni

I'm a 3 hour drive south of DFW, where there are no groups, as there are not enough of us to make a group. Heck, as far as I know, I'm the only trans person in the county.

A Facebook friend of mine runs a support group in Dallas.  Trans-Cendence meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 7-9PM at Royal Lane Baptist Church, 6707 Royal Ln, Dallas.

I will PM you with contact information.
