Right. Probably not many ftms here to begin with but... asking nevertheless!
Any experiences with DHT? Heard it will accelerate balding...!!!
But have any of you tried it? Or do you know someone who has?
- No experience on the subject whatsoever so any info welcomed! -
DHT is a more potent form of Testosterone and is what causes male pattern balding. Drugs intended to stop balding are DHT blockers. I have hear of FTMs using DHT topically in order to gain bottom growth before surgical procedures however it wasn't started until a year or two of bottom growth on Testosterone alone. It best to stay away from DHT until you have a reason to need it.

Thanks for your reply though this is pretty much what I already knew :D!
Okay, maybe that

was a bit misleading! I meant that if there's anyone here who has actually used it? And how was it? Like, before surgery or...?
All I know is it should accelerate growth PLUS makes you bald. So, it'd be interesting to know if anyone has experienced with it?
I haven't heard much about others using it but FTMax (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=37888) discussed it in his thread about his bottom surgery over the last year. FTMax was a relatively active poster so I will leave digging through his posts to you.
DHT is produced primarily in the liver and skin from Testosterone by an enzyme called "alpha 5 reductase". As long as you do not have a deficiency in alpha 5 reductase and a consistent source of Testosterone, you should be making plenty of DHT.
If you feel the need for DHT, then there are risks such as acne and male pattern baldness. On the other hand, DHT does increase penis size during puberty.
For all FTM, I recommend just getting your Testosterone levels in the ball park and let your body produce the DHT. If you do have "alpha 5 Reductase" deficiency, then adding DHT will help develop certain masculine features.
No, I haven't used it - from the anecdotes I find it doesn't have "great" results and some people report hair loss on top of that.
