I will be having my orchi in the next month and was looking for ways it has changed you. What effects did it have your body and mind (if any).
I am also concerned that after an orchi the body begins to age more quickly and was wondering if there's any truth to that or do small dosages of estrogen or testosterone after the orchi help slow down this acceleration in aging to the point of a non op individual?
I want to have my orchiectomy, but not at the cost of shortening my lifespan. Any opinions or facts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hhhmmmm I never heard of that as of shortening ones lifespan

The main issue is calcium loss in your bones if you don't take some type of sex hormone. Other than that, there shouldn't be any additional health risk. There is another possible appearance issue without sex hormones. Sex hormones hold body fat in it's proper location and without it, you might appear older. In my case, I lost facial fat ad looked like I lost far to much weigh even though I was over weight. On estrogen, I have regain my facial fat and I weight 30 pounds less.
I'm really happy with the physical appearance of myself down there now.
I'm still on a standard dosage of estradiol for feminization, and the reasons mentioned by Dena.
There was a lot of information exchanged in my orchiectomy thread. (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,224375.0.html)

I'm sure that if you take small doses of E or T, your body won't age so fast. As for myself, that was a glorious day that I won't forget or regret.

Nor I, in fact my understanding was the opposite...that taking estrogen may add a few years with or without the orchi.
I'm more worried about what to do with the left over skin if I am not going to have complete bottom surgery myself.
Its a good thing to research though...always worth doing your due diligence!
