Title: 4 months on HRT
Post by: AnamethatstartswithE on December 21, 2017, 06:50:44 PM
Okay, so technically the 4 month mark is tomorrow, but I'm going to be very busy tomorrow, so you get it early.

So lets get with the update, body changes:

From the waist down, I honestly didn't dare dream of these kinds of changes, aside from my "male privilege" still being there, if nothing else happens I will be totally satisfied. From waist to neck, things are coming along, my upper body has de-bulked a  lot. I added the 3/4 view so you can see that I am indeed growing in the chest area, I just have a large ribcage, and they tend to point outwards. From the neck up I have my weirdly bulbous head, and hideous face, which I'll show below.

This is me without makeup, I feel like I look super old and wrinkly. That may just be the dysphoria talking, because I do still get carded from time to time. On the plus side, I have some little widows peak points in my hairline, that are slowly starting to have some sprouts grow in. It's difficult to see in this picture but they're there.

Not bad for 4 months.

In terms of emotional changes, there hasn't been a huge difference. I do feel significantly less anxious all the time, and I can actually take pride in things. I've found that my ability to read people is a lot better, and empathy seems to be a lot higher as well. I've found that when commercials about saving the abused animals come on I have to change the channel.

When I get back to work in the new year I'm going to have to start telling HR and so forth, so that we can start getting ready for when I'm ready to go full time. Anyway, I hope everyone else is doing well, and for those on the fence, hormones really do work.

Congrats!! Sounds like great results already and more to come. I'm at the 3 month mark. I've noticed some baby hairs growing where my hairline was receding which is exciting.

That's what the makeup is for, hon.  And the pretty clothes.  And the curling iron.

Yep, you can definitely see the hormones working their magic! I'm at four months too and can sympathize with having a large ribcage, it makes me look too broad and my boobs pointing outward looks a little awkward at this stage in my development. I have definitely noticed a change in my hair too as the thinning that was just starting on my crown has really filled out!
