This can be a time of year that brings love to the fore. It often highlights what we have, but also what we don't.
This was first my ever post here (after lurking off and on for a decade):

I was a terrified, confused person living in pain and fear. I'd reached a point of desperation, where I had to take a blind leap; my favourite quote is by D.H. Lawrence:
"life is a travelling to the edge of knowledge, then a leap taken."
More than three years later, I have lost a lot, but I have also gained much; most importantly, myself, my happiness, and all of the wonderful people on Susan's.
Many here are travelling a long and bumpy Road. Our whole lives are a journey of discovery for those willing to open their eyes, and I hope that will continue for me for many many years to come.
I am thankful for the life I have, and the experiences (good and bad) it brings me.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and a life of love and discovery.
Megan. X

Hi Megan, wow three years, you have grown. I love that I can still hear you in your original post too, intelligent, caring.
I don't know what the future holds for you or me, but do think the next three years we will gain much, and lose little. Here's to our future
Hugs for the holidays.
Bari Jo
Hi Megan 🙋♀️ It can be a tough road to be on, but Bari Jo is correct that the next 3 years the will losses will be little and what we gain will be much.
Hugs, Jess 💁♀️
