We have had what side of the bed. The women have had how to sleep with boobs, I haven't seen the guys talk about sleeping with a packer but I'm waiting.....
I now sleep sitting up. Yep, I lie in bed with a triangle pillow and two pillow between the triangle's arms and sit up. If my head falls forward I can't breathe so I wake up, well at least so far I've woken up. If I lie down flat I also cannot breathe and that is also 'not a good thing'.
Sleeping sitting up has advantages, I read my book, read the website, fall asleep and wake up in the same position. I can answer Skype messages while asleep.....the energy saving is incredible! I can also drink my tea and sleep, I think I do both at once.
It does have its disadvantages. Since I am now use to sleeping sitting up I can fall asleep just about anytime. At the traffic lights is not a good one, listening to uncle George's stories in Christmas Day is an excellent one, at the opera or ballet is bliss (I hate both but someone else does not). I was thinking of tattoos on my eyelids so I look awake. That could be incredible!
How do you sleep?
In a tiny ball on my side usually. Although reading this sleeping sitting up might be nice in that it might preventing me from messing up my hair so much so I wouldn't need secure it. Hmmmm.
All over the bed, but typically on my side, slightly curled. X

primarily slightly inclined on my back. A habit from bad acid reflux for years. Plus side, with my current diet, no more reflux. I haven't taken heartburn medicine for months ... woo ..
I have bad neck, hips. Not debilitating (some flare-ups were - picture Tim Conway's old man walk, I was slower at one point) On my back is the best position for that as well. However, I try to get as much cuddle time as possible so that's left-side/right-side depending on which way the spoon feels right. I wish I could cuddle all night :(
On my side cuddled with whoever is in bed with me. That sounds slutty but what I mean is if Tristan is sleeping with me I cuddle with him. If he's not here I sleep cuddled with my dog.

That doesn't sound slutty I got it, lol. I see what you mean but, I got it. I as well sleep on my sides or back. mostly on my side though and it I had someone to cuddle with I would. I do hold snoopy. I have held snoopy for a long time, I just connected with snoopy when I was like 1 and have had one ever since.
I sleep mostly on my side in fetal position. If I am having trouble sleeping, I'll sleep on my stomach, but it gets tricky getting the girls comfortable. I try to avoid sleeping on my back, because my wife tells me I snore.
I sleep on my side. Usually I sleep on my right side but a lot of times I'll readjust and sleep on my left side. It's weird, I notice that I seem to dream more when I sleep on my left side. another weird thing I have is that if I get up to pee I can't go back to sleep in the same position I was in when I got up, I have to switch. Once in a while I will sleep on my back for a little bit. I used to not be able to do that because I was so heavy it was very uncomfortable and hard for me to breathe that way
Side or back.
I have some problem with sleeping where I think I'm falling if I don't feel "stable" and will wake up. There's only a couple of positions that feel stable.
I thrash around a lot. It's a wild ride sleeping with me. >:-)
Mostly on my back. I prefer my side but due to a shoulder injury (thanks Work!) that isn't really an option anymore.
On my right side. Facing the wall. It's the only way I can fall asleep. Years of being on a bunk in the Navy, turning to face away from the bustle I guess. Subconsciously trying to block it out.
Also, I cannot sleep in silence. I really can't. Again I suppose it's years of noise and hum-drum. I have to have the radio or TV or something playing as I fall asleep. The silence is too loud and uncomfortable.

I'm the same way! I use a fan, I feel like the tv is too much noise but fan is just right. I was into horror movies at a young age, so when I was like 10 or 11 I'd be awake in bed and every time I heard a creak I thought it was a monster sneaking around to kill me or something, so I needed a distraction. I did use a tv though into my teens, I can't remember when I switched to a fan
Since getting sick 18 years ago I have only ever been able to sleep on my back and only if my torso is elevated into a 3/4 sitting position. We bought electric beds that raise both from the head and the foot and has the supposedly "perfect" sleeping position called "zero G" which elevates your upper body and your legs are elevated but supported from under the knees...as odd as it sounds its incredible comfortable and supposedly the "ultimate" sleeping position...the mattress is one of those memory type mattresses...we have had it 6 or 7 years and it is as comfortable as the day we bought it...has a 15 year warranty on the mattress...the electric bed however is a standard 12 months but has performed flawlessly
Yeah, I don't much like total silence either. Currently I'm working a lot and have been sleeping on the sofa for convenience, and there's the constant noise of the computer, the fridge etc, which is kind of soothing. If there's total silence I can hear the static buzz of the neurons in my head. Or whatever that sound is. I can't stand that noise.
I sleep in between trips to the bathroom and sometimes during those trips. The bathroom is to the side of my bed so technically I sleep...oh never mind.

Well I do sleep with Skype on next to me and I do get messages from people who shall remain nameless saying "Shouldn't you be asleep?"
In bed it's normally on my sides. Once in a while on my back but that rarely works well because I snore in that position and it wakes me up. Sometimes I will lay on my stomach but that takes careful pillow placement. Last but not least, working the web site I will slouch on the couch and crash if I haven't had enough sleep. If a background noise is normal, it doesn't wake me up however just the slightest out of place noise will wake me up.
I sleep on my side in the last 5% of the bed. My dog takes up the other 95% it sounds weird but he tries to lay right next to me, so if I move a little over, so does he. Eventually I'm at the edge of the bed with no place to go. I usually have a pillow under my head and one over my head, sometimes one between my legs, and behind me. I get cold and lonely, pillows help.

It's unreal how much room a dog can take up! My little dog is only 14 pounds but I swear she can situate herself so she takes up more room than Tristan does and he's 6'5. She also snores like a buzz saw, farts, and yips in her sleep. Except for the yipping it's pretty much the same as sleeping with Tristan. Lol

I can think of two ways to solve the problem. The first is to roll over on the dog. If you don't have the heart to do that, the other alternative is to install a bundling board.

I'm a pushover for my dog. I am even learning to knit so we can have matching scarves and hats. Yes I am that kind of owner.

I most of the time sleep on my back or left side. Sometimes I wake up sleeping on my belly.
Sorta depends upon how many are in the bed with me.
If alone, I start on my back and wake up anywhere, right side, left side, curled into a ball.
If with others, I often end up tangled like a batch of puppies!

I also sleep on my side too, Bari Jo, sans dog though. I use 4 pillows too. One for my head, one small one beside it for propping my lower hand and arm up to be comfy. The 3rd is a body pillow that I cuddle (would welcome a living body as a substitute) and the last is on my upward chest side and body pillow to support my upper arm. My electric blanket warm up my bed (again would happily substitute and living body) then I turn it off before going to sleep at which time I roll over onto my back and wake with the pillow under my head and another on my chest.
On my belly with NPR/BBC on the radio in the background. When my breasts were tender I would sleep on my side but they stopped hurting when I was off hrt for gcs in September and haven't started back up again since.
I toss and turn until sleep comes down but usually wake up on my belly facing the wall, probably because that's the side my snugly pillows are on
I use to fall asleep watching the TV in bed but the management decided it wanted extra $$$ for my bedroom cable box so I turned it in, another broken promise by them :P
Sometimes I fall asleep on the coach watching TV in the living room or in my computer chair, then I wake up half disorientated and wonder off to bed
Usually on my side with my knees slighlty bent lol yes it's specific because I read that's the best way to sleep... I always slept this way anyway. I just stopped sleeping on my stomach (which I miss a lot) because apparently is causes dark circles and I don't need any more of that!

This is how i sleep too, also my left arm under the pillow, pillow resting on my neck
Years ago I slept only on my back, but that was because I slept on a sleeping bag on the floor (couldn't afford a bed), and sleeping on my side was uncomfortable. Now I mostly sleep on my side with my legs slightly bent, like others here.
I sleep on both sides, or whichever side allows my sinuses relief.
Side or stomach. When I'm on my stomach I usually prop at least one hip bone up with one of my arms/hands to keep my lower back happy. I can get pretty comfortable in a mummy bag and bivvy sack that way, even though I can't for the life of me fall asleep on my back.

I had that sort of thing for a while a good number of years ago, and bad. Could only sleep on my belly, with my legs slightly apart to lay as flat on the mattress as possible. If i didn't I could swear it'd feel like I'd fall off my bed.
Sleeping, ahhhhhh.
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea years ago but the CPAP's were so cumbersome that I refused to get one. Then after a few years of waking up and having to slam myself against the wall because I woke up not breathing, I gave in and obtained a CPAP machine. Now, as far as sleeping. If I'm on the sofa, I can doze up lying on my back or even in the recliner that way. But in bed, it has to be on my side, in the middle of the bed with a pillow between my legs and on against my chest.
Now, from what I have read so far, I have to learn how to sleep all over again once the HRT kicks in :)
Hopefully, this wasn't TMI :)

I sleep in many positions, but I seem to enjoy being a tummy sleeper, with my arms up under my pillow.
I can't wait to see how I will need to sleep once I'm on hormones.
On my left side stretched out like a cat. I wear a sleep mask to shut out light & silicon ear plugs as it gets noisy with wind & rain this time of year
