Hello everyone! I'm a 19 year old transman and I am going to be a year on T in about two months. I've recently decided to start slimming down my body for I'm 5'5" and currently ~180 lbs. I was wondering if anybody had any kinds of dietary tips or workout advice like maybe a regimen they follow? Let me make this clear too, I don't want to get huge. I'm wanting to slim down and be lean, not drink a protein shake and get huge. Any help is appreciated, thank you all! :)
Look here to calculate your caloric needs and calculate how much you should eat each day to meet your goal. https://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/weight-management/body-weight-planner
Diet is the most important thing. Cut out added sugar, especially soda and fruit juices and if possible eliminate processed food in favor of real food you prepare yourself. Also strive to limit your carbs to 150 g or less per day.
Next add some exercise, ideally both aerobic exercise and strength exercise. Getting huge is really hard, takes a long time, and requires you to eat excess. So you can build a lot of strength and some muscle without getting huge. It will also make you healthier, more resilient, and helps in overall weight loss and long term weight maintenance.
Personally, I favor running and powerlifting but you can do any combination of exercises you enjoy to get good results.

Trans man needs to pack some muscles. Go for a CrossFit gym or anything boxing/mma. Don't worry about being too bulky, you won't get there overnight even if you drink plenty of protein shakes - it takes years to build a serious bulk... (and bulk is good in men, it's not too bad for a guy to be strong).

Getting big has a lot of variables. Some are genetic, some are environmental. The combination will affect outcomes. Some people have a tough time gaining muscle, some make it look easy. Those are outliers. If you want to lose weight, Deborah gives good advice. I've gone ketogenic since June and have lost 87lbs. I've lost 102lbs in the last year. All with dietary changes. Lastly, I'll add one component a lot of people miss with heavy duty workouts: sleep. The body needs adequate rest to repair and adapt.
