Hello and happy 2018
Im staring Hrt this month, but also plan to try hyaluronic acid cheek filler to get more feminine face
Has anyone tried hyaluronic acid cheek filler and what is the opinion of you or your sight, i know from HRT my cheeks will gett feminine more, but i cant wait 3 years or more
But to put implant in my cheeks is also risky cuz i dont know how it will look like, so i think to try hyaluronic acid cheek filler maybe also in lips because they say this is not permanent
My FFS surgeon told me that nothing feminizes like cheek implants. His before and after pictures prove this. I did not get cheek implants for personal reasons, so I looked into fillers.
Be very careful. Fillers such as Hyaluronic Acid are meant to fill in small creases to make them less visible. If anything is used to plump up a relatively larger area the possibility exists of the injected material shifting location.
You could look worse than you do now. Here in Miami, we have a few unlicensed people injecting fillers, usually silicone gel under the skin with disastrous results.
The only thing I would do to plump up a larger area is a fat transfer by a skilled plastic surgeon. And I want to see some examples of their work.
Sorry I don't know anything about that so I can't add much but... be careful. Your face is the very first thing anyone sees and leaves the most lasting impression. The best thing is to consult a professional licensed surgeon. Their careers and reputation relies on providing quality results. And you just really don't want to mess up your face.

Hyaluronic fillers are made in different consistencies, intended for different areas, so what you put in your lips isn't what you put in your cheeks. It's a very safe, temporary way of imcreasing volume in a specific area, and it won't migrate. Additionally, if you don't like the result, it can be dissolved with a simple injection. I would suggest going to an experienced injecter.
Hi Manuela!
I go once a year for Restylane filler and a bit of Dysport which is like Botox.... I have done it through my FFS surgeons office and also a Dermatologist that specializes in laser and cosmetic procedures... As long as you go with an experienced practitioner I believe you'll likely be pleased with the results..
Hugs
Ashley 😀❤️🌻
thank you my girls

I also happen to feel that cheeks are the essence of femininity in the face. I got large cheek implants and I absolutely wish I had gotten XL.
If you are nervous then I think trying fillers in your cheeks are definitely an easy way to see exactly how much you want to do.
Absolutely do not go to anyone other than a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
Lastly, most people that get cheek filler need several syringes to achieve an optimal look - several syringes of filler can add up quickly. My cheek augmentation I think was around 3500$ and its FOR EVER. whereas filler only lasts 9 - 15 months or so.
good luck!
Ladies,
I need to update my previous reply.
I was at my FFS doctor's office the other day and I came across a relatively new product called Juvederm Voluma, which is specifically used to plump up the cheeks. It is still a hyaluronic acid filler, but has a consistency which makes it more applicable for cheek fillers. It still lasts about 6 months to a year, just like regular Juvederm. The amount of plumping up is somewhat less than cheek implants, giving a more subtle increase in your cheek contour.
I agree with other people who post here and the only doctors who are going to touch my face are well trained Dermatologists or Plastic Surgeons.
First of all i would recommend you to wait at least 1.5 year on hrt before doing any filler or fat transfer job. You can however get bone work done because this will not change. Problem with filler is it only last 6-8 month, i was doing them and it became really expensive to do that twice a year (2 for cheeks and 1 for lips) total 1500$ CAD each time.
I had surgery yesterday to transfer fat to cheeks and lips. Result is much better and will last for years. ( it will folow your body aging) surgery was 5000$ Cad .
Again i strongly recommend you to wait minimum 1 year and half for cheeks. You can do lips however because hrt barely change them..
Picture of me just after surgery( today). It's swollen . sorry for no makeup

So they got fat from other parts of your body? I didn't know you can transfer fat from liposuction to the face. You look great by the way.

I've had just about every type of filler on the market since 2000 when I first got my nasolabial folds done. The thing with cheek augmentation is you have you andnyiur doc have to be carefull of overfilling.
Silicone- injected by a park avenue plastic surgeon. Done in low doses it works well and is permanent. That was 18 years ago and hardly anyone does silicone anymore.
Radiesse-I've had this in my cheeks and thought it to be pretty good in terms of value and length of effect. Some folks can't use it though-get an allergic reaction. You can't use it under the eyes either.
Sculptra. Expensive, generally need two sessions. Kind of lumpy looking.
Fat grafting. My second favorite. Dr. Z uses fat grafting. He harvests via the navel and I'm going to ask for the side this time as it stung there quite a bit and doesn't hurt at all from the sides. It is ironic, I looked like I had been hit by a mack truck and the most painful things were my navel and back (completely other issue!)
Hyaluronic fillers. My body eats them up fast, so it is worthless
Botox. Excellent product.
Over the years I've had good service from a number of doctors who like to work with the trans. I think it's a bit of a break from the standard for them. So you don't need to go to the gender specialists for fillers/botox.
