Greetings to all!
Well, things went well with the doctor and I have just taken my medication for the first time. And to my surprise my insurance covered some of it.
The pharmacy clerk had to call the pharmacist to give me a consultation and when the pharmacist came, she said, Spiro for high blood pressure and Est... and then looked at me and asked if I knew how to take them. Of course, my doctor had written down instructions on how to initially take them to avoid any nausea.
So, I'm officially and chemically on my way :)
Happy New Year!

Hey Hey Hey Cali is on her way..
Congrats Cali. I was wondering how it went. No please remember we don't discuss dosages here except in a very general way. If you do you'll make me have to do my job as a mod and smack you for it. That said did you get estradiol and spironlactone both??
Btw I told my therapist about helping you with the VA and also my speech pathologist. She says she is sure they have speech therapy at your VA. So get to getting with them.
Hugs,
Laurie
Oh forgot! how about Flower for a middle name?
Congratulations :) Get ready for a roller coaster ride.
How about Rose?
Hi Laurie,
Yes, I was prescribed both. Without going into the dosages like you say (don't want to get slapped), the doctor is having me do a smaller amount and raising it over a couple of weeks. He did push for injections because he felt that it was the best way due to digesting and the majority, according to him, getting flushed out before being used.
Thanks on talking to your therapist regarding the speech.
My daughter and I just a talk and the medication was brought up. She's still very supportive but I think she's analysing or processing this. She asked me some questions and it was a good talk.
Cali
Kallie Rose? Hummmm
Cali,
Talking to your daughter is a good thing especially since you and her live together. If she in inclined we do have a significant others forum she is welcome to participate in. Word of warning though, what you or her choose to share here are visible to all though we try to do try to keep the SO forum supportive towards them as that is the designated area for them to discuss their unique issues in dealing with their loved ones.
As Rachel said it's time to fasten your seat belt, sit back, and enjoy the ride.
I still like Flower.
Hugs,
Laurie

I got a buck in the pool that says a boob bump is the first exciting (painful) thing that happens. But what do I know? ;D

Oh, you soldiers are all alike :)
You are lucky to start your HRT. I wish you a good luck and a perfect transition. ;)
Thank you Haya!
Not sure what's going on as I never was much of or cared for dancing and now I find myself with the music going and me just dancing all over the place cleaning, doing dishes. Not complaining just saying how loose or relaxed I am.
