Today I went to Chicago for informed consent. I had my friend drive me out and so we spent the whole day in Chicago. I went to my appointment, which was my first appointment at a new medical office, all undertaken on my own, and everything went super well except for finding out my weight is higher than it's ever been. But it's okay. I'll find a way to get it under control. I walked out with all my first prescriptions for my hormones and T-blockers, and then went and explored. But yeah! Good day, exciting results for moving forward! I'll take some pictures of myself tomorrow so I have a baseline for comparison in the future. :)

Wow, good news, good start of the day!
I'm -
Welcome to Chicago. Whenever I see someone from the Chicago area I reach out to say hi and say that there are a lot of resources, great people and fun times here. I've made a number of good friends at the Center on Halsted on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7:00 for a group called "T-Fem". The get-together runs until 8:30 and some of us go out afterward. Unfortunately, we go to a bar and I'm not sure of the laws about under 21 entering a bar in Illinois. They do serve food too so maybe it's okay.
I'd love to get together to have a cup of coffee or something. I do have a car and I'm always looking for an excuse to get out of town on the weekends. If you're interested let me know (PM if you want).

P.S. This goes for anyone in the Chicagoland area. I'm always up for meeting new people and saying Hi.
Hi Renee
Glad to see you back and congrats on moving forward with your HRT program. A very good beginning for a new year. Don't forget to fasten the seat belt because the ride has begun.
Hugs,
Laurie
