Title: Estrogen Dominance Vs Progesterone Dominance and body shape?
Post by: Asakawa on January 11, 2018, 05:40:57 PM
Hello All,

I've been looking online about Estrogen dominance and it's associated effects and have noticed that usually estrogen dominance is associated with the female 'pear shape'. It seems interesting since usually a more testosterone dominated body will have more masculine or 'android' features. So, looking at it like this... what does a Progesterone Dominant body look like? I have tried to search online, but I really find nothing in terms of an associated body. I mean, the only way I can think of it is maybe like a pregnant sort of body? Since the hormone seems to go up quite a bit during pregnancy? But so do other hormones like Estrogen and Testosterone.

Any ideas?

Whether "estrogen dominance" actually exists is still an ongoing debate, personally, I don't think it is, more likely to be an imbalance of the E1:E2:E3 ratios. Outside of taking a huge dose of exogenous progesterone, progesterone dominance simply can't happen..

I suspect you've been reading a particular FB group.. They are not doctors and much of what they claim is wrong and/or dangerous. Hormones are something best discussed with your doctor.

???

Sorry, I haven't been on FB in ages. Never really got into it either. I was just curious if there was such a thing as Progesterone dominance, just because I've seen Estrogne Dominance used and associated with the pear shape. Which I think looks pretty. I never really got into myspace either. I  never did understood those type of sites. I think the amount of personal information that gets shared in there is crazy!
