Title: Finally escaping Saudi Arabia to Safety
Post by: rose on January 12, 2018, 06:13:57 PM
Hi
My name is rose I'm trans girl born in Saudi Arabia
I faced death and torture in Saudi
for being trans
And finally I escape to safety in Europe

I start transition by taking female hormones in secret since 2008
Because transition is illegal and against the law
And bing transgender is punishable by death ( in awful way )
And only in 2017 /12/ 27 I felt as human being
It's the date when I flee Saudi Arabia

My family want me dead for dishonor their name because I'm trans
I asked asylum and waiting for the result
Hopefully I can stay here

Because it's the first time in my life that I feel and being treat as human being
The first time in my life I can go out in public as girl ( doing this in Saudi Arabia mean death )

I fought so much you can read my story and how much pain I had in my old posts

In SA they inject me with male hormone against my will
And force me to have electric shocks to turn me into man

I been arrest and raped and almost killed in jail

And from my childhood I have been bullied and face beating and life threats because I'm feminine

My dad pointed a gun to my face when I was 7 because I acted like girls

My life was living nightmares and even now I still have nightmares and scream at my sleep from the horror I faced

I'm writing this to say

I was supposed to be dead by now
Killed in awful way

But instead I escape
I was one of the Very very lucky one
The rest of my friends either killed or arrest

I have younger sister who also is trans which is kept hostage in my country
I don't know anything about here
I don't know if she alive or dead

And all this because we born trans
Something we did not chose

I'm glad that I'm safe but I'm very afraid and worried about her

I can't connect my family
And I did not say good bye to my beloved Mom who I will never see again in my life or hug

I'm happy that I'm alive but also very sad and devastated

I don't know anyone here nor I speak the language
I write this because I need support [emoji20]

I been a lot I faced death many times but I survived

No matter how hard you think your life is don't lose hope
I did not lose it

My heart hurt me for my mom and my sister but there is nothing I can do

This is my story and I want it to be heard
To share awareness about how Arab countries specially Saudi Arabia kill and torture transgenders

Love and kisses from Europe ❤️

You know, I don't know much about that country, but felt it hard to believe that a country would do such things to their own people, but looked into it and found a lot of stories and information about how they do, and that really saddens me.

Makes me feel bad to ever say that I have it bad.

I hope in time things can get better.

Rose,
I am so sorry for everything you have been through. I am very glad you have escaped, and  only hope the best for you. It embarrasses and pains me that my country supports a country with a government that would do such things. It is horrible, this insane treatment of people only trying to be true to themselves. This terrible reality that trans people face is not even discussed in the US media. Shameful! I hope you find supporters and hope you find peace. Hugs to you!

You have an amazing, heartbreaking story. It saddens me to hear the awful conditions you have been subjected to just because you wanted to be yourself. I am overjoyed to hear that you have been able to escape to a country where you can finally fulfill your simple wish live an authentic life. I truly hope your request for asylum is granted. You have friends here, and a family who loves you exactly as you are. Please let us know if you need help, and we will respond.

There are no words to do justice to what you have endured. I hope and pray that they grant your asylum, and that you can live the rest of your life happy and safe!

I'm so happy for you and wish you best luck. Learn the language, stay away from Saudi/ Arab community (to speed up your integration into the new way of life), and be strong.

Your story was from your first post that I noticed a story of utmost bravery and perseverance against death threats and torture and impossible odds. Maybe the old country will change in your lifetime, and all who made those laws realize their wrongdoings... never say never. But you have a new life to live and a new world to explore, don't ever look back.

You are so brave and inspirational. America is trying very hard to emulate Saudi Arabia. Law makers are proposing the death penalty for being the people God created. Glad you found a society of humans to take you in. I hope all your dreams and aspirations come true and you can fulfill your destiny. Who knows, We may be joining you soon. I know I've thought about moving 135 miles up the street to Canada.

Please keep us updated about your new life. I find your story fascinating, and look forward to your communications.

Hugs
Dawn

Rose!

I am so very moved by your story...

So many lessons in your struggle for us all...  You said you seek support and you certainly have some here but, I hope there are some groups locally where you are and at least some of the resources you need. Especially legal resources that can assist you in seeking asylum... We here at Susan's come from all over the world...You might want to post a thread in the transgender talk section looking for members in the country you are in...

I'm glad you are away from the danger in SA... Maybe if you can get settled in Europe there would be a way to get word to your sister and she could try to escape as well?...I'm proud to be sharing this space here with you... You stand as proud testament to holding on through adversity and surviving.... let us know how to help you build the life you want for yourself... The life you deserve... A life finally your own...

Onward we go brave sister

Hugs!!!

Ashley ❤️🌻

Welcome to Europe Rose!

I am sad to hear all the things you have gone through. I know several countries that treat trasgender people very bad.

I am happy you managed to escape!

If you're in Sweden and when you are safe, I can help you with the language.

Don't say where you are now, you are not safe until you get a permit to stay in the country.

Lots and lots of refugees in Europe atm because of the war in middle east. I hope the government handles your case quickly so you don't end up in the streets until you get the permit. I've heared about refugees living in the streets in other European countries.

One thing you need to know, lots of refugees are sent back to the first country they arrived at. In EU you need to seek asylum at the country you arrive at.

Say for instance that you arrived in Spain and registered yourself. Then travel to Finland. Finland will send you back to Spain to try your case.

You need to know this so you don't get sent back and forth in Europe and spend the little money you have in vein.

My country is just between the EU and the Middle East (in every way) I want it to go one way and conservative government is trying to drag it the other way. And I feel that conflict everyday.

Yet I could only imagine how terrifying it must have been for you. KSA should be one of the worst to be a woman, or an atheist, or a LGBT person. Honestly I was checking your posts sometimes, wondering if you were able to escape yet. I'm really happy to see you are finally safe.  :)

Welcome to Europe. Hope things will turn out better here. Well they will of course, when compared to Saudi Arabia, but hopefully you will find happiness, friends and family from here.

If ever in Finland, send me a pm and I will be your tour guide  ;)

Rose, I'm glad that you are in a safer place, although it is sad that you have had to lose touch with your loved ones.

I hope that you are granted asylum.  I presume that you are not in the UK if you don't speak the local language but if you are in any EU country, you should at least be safe from being sent directly back to Saudi Arabia, where your life would obviously be in danger.

If you arrived in Europe via an intermediate country such as Thailand, make sure that the authorities where you live now know that sending you back to the intermediate country would put you at risk of being sent back to Saudi Arabia and probable death.

We are all praying for you.
Love,
Mary

That's scary. :/ Hopefully she just is in situation as a refuge with no internet access or frame of mind to post, and not denied asylum...

Hi Rose,
It's wonderful that you are active and posting again.  Some of us were worried by your long absence.

So happy for you, Rose! So glad you're safe at last! Reading your story makes my getting beat up and stripped by a mob and relentlessly bullied as a teenager here in the USA seem trivial. I wanted to kill myself, but you endured so much more and chose life. You're a real hero. Love, Beverly
