Title: Lip injections
Post by: Charlie Nicki on January 18, 2018, 10:01:40 AM
I feel like my jaw and chin look too square or big in some angles and I think bigger lips can help hide it better. I don't plan on getting jaw reduction anytime soon (or never) but lip injections could be a good alternative. Seeing someone like Kylie Jenner who had a very square jaw when she was young and it doesn't look like that anymore thanks to the lips balancing it out. Has anyone had this done? Is there anything that lasts longer than 6 months? How much does it cost?

I had lip injections when I first transitioned. It was the only cosmetic procedure my dad would let me have done. It didn't even last a full six months, more like 4 months. The Dr told me I would need to have them redone at least every six months. I will tell you it was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. The needle is huge and the filler is thick. It's like getting a very painful shot that takes forever. And it's not just one shot. The Dr did 3 shots in each lip. I nearly broke my dad's hand from squeezing it so hard. I've never had it done again and I never would.  The idea of going through that every six months was an awful thought. An my lips look ok without filler. Drs charge different prices. My dad paid $800.00 for mine.

I liked the results but honestly they were a lot more subtle than I was expecting.

I was wondering about that.  I really don't have much of an upper lip and the hairs on my upper lip tend to grow right into the lip which makes it worse.  So I'll have to do something about that.
