Hey everyone! A friend connected me to someone who does voice lessons for trans people and just people in general looking to change their voice like dropping an accent. It's not exactly super cheap though.
What do you think, do I need voice training or do you think I will be able to sound convincing enough on my own? Here is a voice clip. Thanks!

Awh I have no idea what I'm doing lol I would be so bad at helping anyone else. Thanks though! It's so hard to judge your own voice.

Okay thanks for the input! I don't want to turn a good teacher down but I also don't want to do something I don't really need. The other day was calling random customer service lines, talking to the rep for like a minute, and then asking them what gender they thought I was lol [emoji38]

I'm so jealous. I've been trying for over a year. I still sound like James Earl Jones.
Hi I must agree you voice sounds fine you already pass on your voice I recently had the opportunity to see and hear myself in an interview I do not pass on looks or voice but I am much closer than I thought especially my voice if you ever get the chance to have a conversation recorded where you will speak and act as you normally would go for it that is the best feedback you can get

Ahh sorry now I feel bad! I guess it's just hard to hear how feminine your own voice is because I genuinely have been stressing over my voice lately and apparently I should stop. The beginning of that clip is basically my guy voice so I guess I'm just lucky and have no idea any techniques or anything to make the voice work. I'm basically using the voice I used for our families dogs growing up so maybe I've been practicing keeping my Larynx up through that this whole time?

Yeah that's a good idea maybe next time I'm hanging with some of my friends as Courtney I'll record like 10 mins of conversation or something

I say give the lessons a try! You might not NEED them, but you can probably learn a few things. Just because your voice sounds good now doesn't mean it can't sound better?
You don't sound in the least male. I only heard female the whole time.
