Title: Is it weird to have excessive hair on body but not face?
Post by: dmj23 on January 22, 2018, 08:45:23 PM
I know it says hirsutism is hair on the belly and back for faab people. But They always talk about beards and mustaches. I wonder if there's a hormonal reason for why one could grow on their belly and chest but nothing on the face? I personally have it this way where it's all thick on my belly chest thighs legs etc... But nothing on my face. Anyone know if there's a reason for this?

Maybe I can't explain your circumstance, but I can second it.

I was very hairy as a child - front, back, arms, legs.  Kids called me 'Bear' - they told me that I was 'as hairy as a 'Bear'. I

I eventually had facial hair.  It began coming in when I was around age 22.  I went from clean to heavy shadow within months.

I often speculate if I would have dodged that 9 am shadow if I could have been on estrogen a year or so earlier.

Good thing was that estrogen seems to be what cleared my body hair.   It all began noticeably diminishing within a year of hormones and was all gone in less than a decade.  I have had no body hair to shave since late-1980s.

Of course I did require electrolysis for my face.  I went once or twice each month for one-hour sessions during eight years.  All gone.
