Title: Taken off hormones and really depressed

      I have been off hormones since November 23 due to developing a DVT after having surgery for a hernia I am on spiro this helps some but I was not depressed at all before going off E but my depression is deepening I have no idea when or even if I will be put back on E this is causing me great discomfort and i find myself in that dark place more and more often I need help any advice would be greatly appreciated I just don't know what to do

The only suggestion I can think of is discussing this with your doctor. It's possible they might approve you for E if you use a gel or a patch at a moderate dosage. Another possibility is if your on a blood thiner it may be safe for you to resume some form of HRT. Other than that, without understanding a good deal more about the DVT, it's difficult to suggest other solutions.

        Thank you Dena I understand that it is a waiting game as my doctor waits for results from the hematoligist it is the depression i am having trouble dealing with most of the time I am ok but then it comes crashing down on me with out warning
