Title: I Started HRT -- I'm Stoked! Thoughts on HRT and Orchi
Post by: Claire Grey on January 25, 2018, 07:06:17 PM
I started HRT yesterday. Somehow, likely just placebo, I feel great. I almost feel like my body is saying "thank you!" I have noticed almost no changes other than a mild headache which should pass AND I am all of a sudden not angry--I have space between my thoughts and reactions. I feel calm and centered.

There are only three things I really want to do for transition, HRT, laser hair removal on my face and neck, and an orchiectomy. The latter is a big step but I am super afraid of things not working with full SRS. However I want to get as close as possible -- I'm kind of obsessed with getting something removed which feels to me like an alien and nasty thing. Nothing against them on anyone else.

Thanks for listening.

There are some on here that would call it a placebo effect, but I know starting out on oral Estradiol I definitely got an "E buzz". Although it stopped happening as I started taking the oral Estradiol on a regular basis, I've gotten that same "E buzz" many times following my Estradiol Valerate injections.

Some feel it, some don't.

I describe it as a warm and fuzzy happy feeling.

I absolutely love my E buzz!

I don't know if the buzz is scientifically proven, but I am pretty sure the buzz is real. I am on day 7 of HRT and I have felt it for some occasions this week. A feeling of extreme and pure joy, either looking at the horizon and seeing more "colorful", talking to people that would make me otherwise introverted, but instead I was at ease and outgoing as never before, like I could face anyone without any fear or anxiety.

But on the other hand - beware of the "bad trips". The fear and anxiety are still present when you think about the challenges that are ahead... draw a plan and stick to it. Talk to your dear ones, your therapist and sort these topics out. I am not able to face it alone, and many of us aren't as well. Not sure about your case.

Good luck on your journey!

The buzz is there. The 3 times a day that I take oral estradiol are the most happiest moment of a day and sort of wait it like a child on christmas waits for presents.

And just feeling the table dissolving in my mouth feels great!

It's like some spiritual experience for me, really! If I have time, I enjoy slowly letting the table dissolve in my mouth...and enjoy every second of it.

Even now thinking about makes me feel great.

Crazy I am  ;D

So cool that others can confirm this based on actual experience. Wouldn't trade being a chick for anything!

I am 6 weeks in and I have never felt this high on life.
It is almost euphoric.
I was always a positive person before but if this it what it feels like to live cis, I am now confirmed with the estrodial.
It used to be when I went out to an event or restaurant, I felt confused and everything seemed noisy.
Now those experiences have slowed down and I can feel the experiences in a way that is calm, less scary and no longer confusing.
I look forward to going out instead of dreading it.
This is where I was always meant to be with estrogen in control instead of testosterone...

Another good thing is that the little boobs that are growing now are making this new life in puberty even better :icon_female:
