Title: Rear Bra Fastening!
Post by: valerie anne on January 30, 2018, 02:50:56 PM
I have recently needed some new bras, as I have pumped & sucked myself up a full cup size. A bra is no longer optional for support or modesty!

However, when buying my booby new bras, I have found that the latest styles are offering deeper band depths, and wider straps.

This suits me fine, as they offer more pushup and better band & strap comfort.

But, it's difficult to fasten a 3 hook bra band from the rear. I can do 2 hooks, but not 3.

I have to fasten the bra from the front, then swivel it round.  What can you manage?

I'm pretty flexible so I don't have any problems reaching around to the back,

I have never had trouble fastening a bra behind my back.  I learned when I was young.  :D  Although I don't currently have any with 3 hooks, I have had them in the past.  Once you get the first one hooked, the other two are pretty easy: they are already lined up.

My mom taught me very well, both hands behind and line up the hooks.

put it on backwards so the clasps are in front. then spin it around, pull it up over your breasts and then pull straps over your shoulders. That is how I started out. now I'm flexible enough to hook zip or anything else that needs to be done. but that should help you get started... ;D

Started with a training bra before I had any boobs. Mama and Sis always fastened in the back, so that is how they taught me.
I can do 3 or even 4 hooks with no problem, and can un-do 2 hook models with one hand.

I just bought one with the closure in the front. Works nicely.

Though I can & have fastened with my arms behind my back, there is no shame in fastening in the front then twisting it around. Like anyone else is watching?   If they are shame on them anyways :P

No it's not hard to twist. Never said it was. Just saying I have a bra that clasps in the front. I also have bra's that have no clasps at all. Just pull them over your head and when aligned drop the puppies in the pocket.

As KathyLauren said after getting the first one; the others are much easier.  Getting the first one can be a challenge when there are more than one so they all lineup correctly.  Many women hook them all in front and then turn the bra half way around and scoop your boobs into the cups.

Especially when they get a bit 'larger' in girth :)  Saw that in my years in the nursing homes a  plenty.  Plus when you get old your bones aren't as limber as they were when you were a wee little 13 year old.  Not that my bones are old mind you.. they just have more tread lol.

Lots of gals do the fasten-in-front-then-rotate-it thing. It's not a sexy process, but it works. I do it with some of mine that are just harder to fasten. Just do it that way. To take it off, just pull your arms out of the straps and rotate the band again.

I fasten from the front and the swing it in a correct way and what I've see, plenty of other women do it the same way. Why would I want to cause some muscle cramp to myself, when there is an easier way :)

And when you raech ninety, you will not be trying to fasten them from behind :)

I've been able to fasten the clasps in place behind my back with practice, very difficult at first but much easier after 6 months HRT.  I think the reason is my arms are noticeably thinner and more flexible now.

While I always unhook them behind my back, in my band/cup size most of the time there are 4 or 5 hooks. That is just too many and I get frustrated. I used the spin method for awhile and still do very rarely. Things never felt quite right when I did it that way.

Early on I decided to put them all on like no clasp sports bras. I take a standard bra and do all the hooks up then put it on over my head like a sports model. As I hit larger cup sizes it did get to be a different challenge but overall it is still the method that works best for me.

I ready the results of a study one time and this method was actually listed and tracked so I know I'm not the only one who does this way.
