Title: Weight loss and lose skin
Post by: annajasmine on December 18, 2007, 01:23:10 PM
I have lose skin every where. I mean got it on my upper arms, above the knee, and around my belly. I need to lose another 90 pounds also. Will it tighten back up?  If so how long?

Thanks for any advice,
Anna

i don't think it really tightens back up much. if you're planning on losing more weight, do it slowly. rapid weight loss is what causes this.

Thanks nero for your reply. I kind of sad flabby arms at 33. Oh well it could be worse.

Slowly or not, some skin just will not come back.  The only solution is surgical removal.  My assistant just went through that after her weight loss.  But the surgery does wonders!  Might be a good idea to consult with a plastic surgeon.

It depends on how much weight is lost, how quickly, skin tone. If you're young
and have avoided sun all your life it helps. Some also have much better skin
elasticity that others. Some lose big amount of weight and it all comes back, while
others are not so lucky.
