Just wondering what are some of the numbers girls are taking in terms of protein while under HRT? Is there any suggested number? Maybe 100 grams? 300 Grams? or 800 Grams? I don't think I eat a lot of protein, so I am curious if I should watch out for this. I do eat a lot of vegetables and a lot of extra virgin olive oil. Also, cheese... woops! I hope that isn't bad.
My goal is 120 g per day. You should aim for about .8g per lb lean bodyweight. My lean bodyweight is about 150 lbs, x .8 = 120.
I don't obsess over it though so if I'm plus or minus 20g or so I'm good.

I don't keep track of protein. I am vegan, and have been for more than 20 years. The one thing I discovered is that it's really hard to not get enough protein, even on a vegan diet. Most people eat too much of it. However, since I am trying to grow new tissue in specific places, I do make a point of eating beans, tofu, and other such protein rich foods frequently.
I'm 64, weigh 137 lbs this morning, and kidney function is off slightly, not at all uncommon at my age. That means I have to watch my diet a bit.
My targets:
Protein: 47 g/day
Fats: 42 g/day
Carbohydrates: 173 g/day
I don't target a specific amount, but I often come in heavier on protein than other macronutrients. (Unless it's a try to get full eating a ton of popcorn day.) If beef jerky wasn't so expensive I'd eat more of it too. ;D But just in general, tons of lean chicken and seafood make up a large part of my diet.

I obsess over protein, Kathy Lauren. Like you, I'm a vegan/vegetarian and also have food intolerances. I eat lots and lots of nuts and focus on beans. (Rice and beans today!) I also eat tofu, and cheese - not enough to boost my protein intake. Pulling meat out of a diet really leaves a big hole!

Not on hrt yet, but I'm at 165g fat 30g carbs and 164g protein. That's a 20% calorie deficit. My lbm is 200lbs. Ymmv.
