Hi everyone. My name is Sarah. I'm a 63 year old trans woman who has lived as an undercover female since I was 14, although I knew from the age of 4 that I was a girl. I'm debating on HRT because I'm afraid that I may be too old. I'm interested to see what you ladies think and will happily take any advice. More soon. XO

Hi Sarah 🙋♀️ Welcome to Susan's Place! I'm Jessica, a trans woman who started 8 months ago at the age of 61 and I've never felt better. And I'm not the only one here that has started later. It's never too late for life.
I see your new here, so I'll post some links that may help you get better acquainted with the site.

Hi Sarah,
I'm Laurie. Too old? I sure hope you are not too old. There will be a lot of us girls here that would be shocked to hear that they started when they were too old. I'm one of them. I started transitioning at 64 and have been on hrt for over a year. There isn't a "too old" for starting. I'm not the oldest one I know to start either. Get yourself a doctor and a gender therapist and go for it girl! I'm glad to see you here. Don't just stand there outside girl, come on in.
Hugs,
Laurie
Hi again Sarah,
As you can see there are others of us here that are older, But age doesn't stop us from finally being who we should have been from the start. I look forward to sharing with you not only my story of successes and struggles. Struggles because this is not an easy thing we do and is fraught with fear, pitfalls, and emotional distress yet there are many rewards too. If you would like to talk about things or ask questions you would rather not talk about openly here please contact me at Laurie@susans.org since you cannot do PMs until you hit 15 quality posts. I would be happy to use email if it is better for you at this time.
You are welcome and wanted here Sarah. The other girls here and I would love to get to know you better.
Hugs,
Laurie
Thank you, Laurie - that's so encouraging! I'll write more about myself tomorrow.
