Title: Starting estrogen: how should I be eating to get curves in the right places?
Post by: Lexi Nexi on February 23, 2018, 08:13:17 AM
History: I have been off test for 3 months my natural level was 100ng/dl
Started estradiol and spiro  for targets of 50ng test and 300ng estrogen but that will probably need more estradiol to get there. Will know my levels soon and report back! Every body is different and I want to see which hormone is dong what based on other experience that are seeing a doctor: Obviously you shouldn't be on any drug especially hormones without a doctor monitoring blood levels you are risking blood clots tumors on you endocrine system and cancer as well as not getting the body you want. Please don't post based on info you just read online or not seeing a doctor. Hormones are not like drugs they are WAY more dangerous to mess around with!

So I have always had really muscular legs that look great now and weighed more then I looked. Because of life I gained 14 lbs in the last month and it went to the belly/breast area; not my face at all for some reason. But I also have gained breast size and it has been from flat chested 3 months ago to solid B cups and I can tell they are rowing again. I don't want to be really skinny. I want to have hips butt and breasts. Will the belly fat start to move away or will I have to lose the belly fat then regain the weight? Due to a disability I have to control my weight through my diet almost exclusively I can't run bike or even walk very far. So far this has been working well just controlling diet. Last month I found out the most I can eat and now realize how much that is.

The belly really looks bad because my butt and hips are small. My legs are getting thicker with fat over the muscle so a really good look thats soft to the touch. I'm Caucasian so big butts don't run in the family but neither does obesity. My final goal is a heart shape butt by any means necessary including implants at the end of 2 years.

Do I lose weight? I really like the progress my chest is growing at and how natural and big the nipples are getting. Big 36C is the goal: I'm hoping just HRT but will do implants if I can't get them after 2 years. The band size won't go up it will decrease as I lose back muscles right? I have read it could go down as much as 2" so that would be 34C and make me very happy!

To lose the belly fat you have to lose fat.  It won't disappear on its own.  However, when you lose fat you can't target your belly and it will be lost all over.  So some of those gains in the breast and butt you mentioned will be lost also.  In my experience, in the long term as you do gain fat less of it will go to the belly than before.  Unfortunately, some of it does still go to the belly.  So if you want to maintain a slim waist all you can do is experiment with fat loss and gain and find out what you are satisfied with.

Wait, you're a B cup from just being on spiro for 3 months?!
It'll be 5 months for me on spiro and estradiol. I have barely any fat on my chest, maybe a small a cup. I always had a bigger but- it does run in my family. My thighs and butt are the only feminine things I feel on my body from gaining weight so far..
I have a stomach too and my hips still aren't nearly pronounced enough.

I hear gaining, losing, gaining, so on helps redistribute body fat once on hrt. I think that will take years, maybe 5+ so better not to rush..

It's not so much how you eat. Reducing Carbs is part of the solution. Stop drinking soda's. When I stopped that was nearly 800 calories a day. I substituted Ice Tea with a pack of Splenda.  Bread, we all love it but go gently.  Pasta? forgetaboutit as a main dish. I found portion size made more of a difference than just about anything. You don't need two pork chops when one will do. I started my diet at 296 pounds and I am now hovering between 220 and 230. I hope to make it to 180 or there abouts. I am at the point where altering my diet is not going to be enough, I must exercise.

No I just started the spiro and estro. My body is not normal; I'm not sure what I have but being trans is more then just my brain. My body makes a bunch of female hormones naturally like prolactin. The doctor said if I start producing milk we can address it but so far it's just making my nipples big. I didn't think that was possible if you had XY chromosomes but I'm even doubting that; I might have that XXY disease or something. The doctor said looking at my blood it looks like I'm pregnant or nursing, that was after I stopped taking test and before ever being on any female hormones. Also compared to my brother I don't share any of his male traits and people thought I was a girl when I was a child.

Losing 80 lbs! Thats like 1/3 of your weight!!! Thats awesome you must feel and look incredible.

I started overweight so I drastically cut portion sizes, and eliminated sugar and carbs in my diet. I also drink nothing but water and a bit of milk. The fat that doesn't go away stays in the right places. Right now I've gotten to a 40c/d in the breast and lost 50 pounds. In addition my body shape is definitely female. All this is four months so I suspect timing etc is just a matter of what your body does with the e.
