I took one of my transgender girlfriends to a high school party last night, and I was kind of worried that people would ostracize her for being who she is. She looked amazing, as usual, and we got ready together and I even did my makeup. When I got to the party, I was so scared for her. My school is very conservative in a sense that it sits in a rural area: it's demographics include upper-middle-class white kids from the nearby new suburb developments and then the traditional rednecks who came straight from Honkyville and literally wear anti-Liberal shirts to school with no reprimanding.
However, everyone was actually really sweet to her. No one was overbearing, and she had a really good time. I am so happy. Even the most countriest of kids at my school smiled and introduced themselves. I'm not sure if they even knew she was transgender, but even so, I am happy that she felt comfortable and included.
Anyways, this was just a happy little story I had to share.
Are you talking about yourself? I'm confused aren't you trans too?

Yes, I am trans, but I don't fully present in public yet. She DOES present in public.
