Title: FTM hair cut advice
Post by: donnieboi on February 25, 2018, 04:32:58 PM
Im ftm transgender, my hair has always been shortish but ive been waiting till I'm 18 to get more masculine hair cut. I have kinda thick and wavy hair. So im  looking for a hair cut thats low maintenance and fits my square oval face that doesn't make me look feminine

Hi Donnieboi!  Welcome to Susan's Place! I'm Jessica, a transgender woman.  I had long wavy hair when I was younger, but when I went short, I had to watch out for my Farrah Fawcett wings that would pop out and had to have it thinned.  Now I'm looking forward to getting them back.
I see your new here, so I'll post some links that may help you get better acquainted with the site.

It all depends on what you like and your personality. If you don't feel self secure in a crew cut, maybe a bit longer hair is better. Check out magazines and see what you like.

I most of the time have a crew cut. Last time I got a fade. I liked it a lot. I hate hair. It's a menace that I try to get rid ofevery 4 weeks.

Short short hair needs to be taken care of every 3-4 weeks or you will look like a mess.

This is my hair cut with the fade. I love it.

Ask your hairdresser for advise too. It was the barber that recommended me the fade.

Thank you for reminding me. It's time to cut my hair again. :D
