Hey guys,
So it's been quite a few years since I've been living as male, and I first started binding 4 years ago, and I had the same medium sized binder from underworks for 3.5 years before switching it out since it got pretty useless. I started wearing a large because I had grown considerably in terms of muscle mass, but unfortunately with only 6 months of use, it's become pretty useless and shows really noticeably through my T shirts and I just can't stand it, not as a dysphoria thing but because it's just not a good look. I've decided to start wearing a medium sized binder again but I'm so used to wearing such loose, stretched out binders that it really sucks being back to wearing this tight, uncomfortable thing and having to worry about how long I wear it and such.
I just know I have to get through breaking it in, but the thought of feeling all this binder discomfort again for months/years is awful. On top of that, I don't plan on getting top surgery for at least another year/year and a half due to school and stuff. Any advice on how to speed up the breaking in process besides just straight up wearing it? Also, just out of curiosity, for those of you who have gotten top surgery, how long did you bind before getting top surgery? How long did it take to plan top surgery and get a date? I feel like I'm waiting forever but I don't really have a choice.
Have you tried GC2B? It's less noticeable than wearing under works. And I think took me a week or so of constant wear for it to loosen up .
I started binding for 3 years before I had top surgery. It didn't seem like it affected my chest. And for me took 5 months from waiting for an initial consultation to having that to surgery. But I'm in the UK and went the private route.
I haven't tried the gc2b binders yet. Is the sizing around the same as underworks? Are they typically as comfortable? I think another issue is that while the large size flattens me enough to be happy with it, it's loose enough that you can like see the outline of flat man boobs in my shirt, I apologize for the imagery lol. But that kind of happens in every binder for me to some extent. Does gc2b work well for larger chests?

I think the sizing is different. You have to read their sizing chart very carefully to make sure you get the right one. I found GC2B so much more comfortable. It caused no rib pain/aches even wearing it all day; plus the material isn't scratchy unlike under works and for me it got my chest flatter. And I've heard online reviews whereby larger chested people were happy with how well it worked for them.
Like with shoes, find something to stretch it slightly.
Either an actual mannequin for clothes, or stick it over some pillows for a few hours. IIRC binders are usually the worst out of the packet, after wearing them for a few hours they'll never be as tight again, and end up in that semi state after the first wash as well. So I'd just put it over something first.
