Title: My first voice lesson
Post by: Julie -2010 on March 10, 2018, 08:40:50 PM
Had my first voice lesson on Thursday.  I walked out of there on cloud 9.  No my voice didn't change any but the exercises she had me doing just the possibility made me so very happy.  Like everything else it is going to take a lot of practice and time.  Can't wait for my next lesson next week.

Cheers,  Julie

Yay! I too am about to start voice therapy. I went for the consultation a week and a half ago. I'm getting it covered by the VA. I'm just waiting for approval of sessions now.

I was so excited after the consult. She went into so much detail about everything. More than just the voice itself. Hand gestures, eye contact, emotion, sympathy/empathy, etc., Etc. It was amazing what she brought to my attention. Hoping for many sessions with her.

Stacy,  that sounds so good. I can just tell from your words how excited you are.  Makes me excited for you.  Mine is just strictly vocal.  We started going thru some sounds and singing some of the notes to train my voice.  If was fun, I was smiling for hours after.
Mine is out of the pocket.  My medical wouldn't cover her sessions.  I could have done some with my medical group but I heard so much good about Exceptional Voice that I wanted to go that direction.
Keep me updated on how you like your lesson and how you are doing.  Julie
