Title: Anyone else addicted to Pinterest?
Post by: Claire on March 25, 2018, 01:18:18 PM
Is anyone out there as addicted to Pinterest as much as I am? I could spend hours every day looking and pinning stuff. I've over 70 boards... all secret..
The main board "Style" currently has 8,665 Pins... Kate Middleton has 1,187 Pins...
I'm out to my wife but she's been nothing of Claire. I still keep things really private... like the boards.
I feel like I'm living vicariously (maybe precariously?) through Pinterest. Am I crazy? I think it's fanning the flames as well as an attempt to dampen them.

Thoughts?

My girlfriend's addicted to it.  She uses it for everything.  Especially recipes, which are the only boards I really see because I do some cooking for us every now and then.  I used to have it but right now my phone doesn't have enough memory for it.

I only recently discovered the "joy" of pinterest.  :)

I don't have quite that many boards, but I've found that while it can help to calm the dysphoria somewhat by living through others,  I also need to temper it because living vicariously can quickly turn to self doubt. Sometimes it turns to beating myself up because I feel like I'll never get to really enjoy the beautiful things that I'm pinning.

I do love pinterest, but like everything, only in moderation.

I enjoy pinterest!

I use it for motivation and inspiration.

I have a style board where I collect clothing looks I like, though I'm nowhere near 8,000 yet  :P.  Each payday, I buy an outfit that matches up with one of my pins.  I then move that pin to an "outfit" board so I can remember why I bought those items originally.

I have a motivation board with positive sayings that I like.

Finally, I have a board with pins of really tall female celebrities, which lets me feel a little less awkward about being a really tall woman.
