Or...am I just happy and content ? lol
I read posts here and started wondering...did I give up on myself looking "mahhhhhvelous" ?
I had my eyebrows and eyeliner tattoo'd since I hate taking the time with makeup. Tho I usually get my face on in 10-15 minutes, it's still a pain and I am very light with my makeup.
I spend most of my time outdoors. Fishing, boating, beaching, riding motorcycle, working in yard...... I just don't seem to have a lot of reason to do makeup to go fishing or beaching or riding in the wind.
So now......sometimes I feel like I look like a sea hag hahahaha and Halloween only comes around once a year kids !!!
My baby boo loves me and of course has no prob. She says do what you want, you are beautiful. But she's my baby boo so... We don't go out on the town much...mainly concerts or dinner or the like. I put a lil face on then. Do I get "clocked" ? I suppose. It is not a concern to me in reality tho. Really, I just don't care. I seem to get by OK on my attitude and smile lol When that seems like not enough, I wear a string halter top hahahahaha
I am 63, post op about 9 years, on estradiol and a few other liver related rx's .
Sooo...how about it ? Anyone else here ever feel that ? I see a lot of very pretty faces in the pics here, so I wonder. My daughter spends a great deal of time working/experimenting/practicing new makeup looks. She is also very pretty.
Let me know if you have any similar experience and how you approached that feeling about yourself ?
There are several of my pics in my gallery if needed to see what and who I am talking about :)
TY peeps...stay salty ;)

I hike on the weekends with a 60 pound pack from 7 to 8 miles. Makeup is far from my mind. For work or if I go out I wear makeup.
Don't do make up, got an eye infection & stopped using it. Grew my hair out of bleached blonde to an ash blonde. Also ride a Harley
As long as you're happy with how you look and your SO likes your look that's all that matters.
I think some people are into makeup and some arent. I mean, Julia said it best. If you accept yourself, theres nothing higher. I think that sounds like true contentment. I personally find makeup fun, but I know many who dont.
I love your outlook!! So positive and I agree it's how you carry yourself. I just really can't be bothered unless it's for an occasion. But usually it depends on my outfit the most. I think makeup should compliment a person's facial features and outfit.

I myself love makeup and I wear it every day. But I know lots of women who don't. My mom never wore makeup unless she was going out. She only wore mascara and lip color to work. My grandma has never worn any makeup as long as I can remember. There is no rule that a woman has to wear makeup. When Im out running errands I actually see very few women with makeup on. Usually just a little bit of lip color. And I don't agree with the idea some people have that a woman who doesn't wear make up is " letting herself go" or is "lazy". My brother was talking about this girl who works at the mall who doesn't wear makeup and he was saying how pretty she was and how girls with a natural look can be really sexy. I love makeup but makeup is time consuming to apply and can actually be a pain in the ass at times. If I had normal coloring I probably wouldn't wear it every day. But my eyelashes and eyebrows are totally snow white and I hate how they look naturally so I put on makeup every day and I will also admit that my makeup has a lot to do with my self confidence. But that's just me. If you're comfortable without makeup then rock it!
You got it figured out. 🙂
For what it is worth, I don't wear makeup at all. Haha, not like it would make me beautiful anyway. That just makes me the average middle aged, frumpy woman. Works for me.
