Hi. My names Amanda.
I had my SRS in Sweden this november last year. My results were Great. Excellent sensitivity in clitoris and 16 cm deapth. Penile inversion w donated skin.
Just ine problem; I have ptsd from S÷×== Assoult. And I doc noted that. But my care wasn,t aware what that meant; like he just asked "and why do you have ptsd. Like he did not appear to understand what I meant as I explained why"
At checkups nurses/dkctors just put their hands in my vagine without explaining to me what the examination involved. And I also was not instructed how to dilate properly. Like, I was barerly given a rundown, bc the nurse was stressed out and did not have time. So alot of no Communication. It was much like this throughout my care. While my friend who did her surgery got Much better care at another hospital.
So. Now I have. Not much deapth. Is there any hope?
I just wanted to take care of my "perfect result".
I have read about people regaining some depth after losing it. You need to dilate more often and try to push, it's not enough to simply hold it in place. If you haven't closed up a lot maybe u can get it back?
Problem is I tense since I was never made Assured how to dilate. I felt Violated everytime.

I think it's important that you are in therapy with someone that can help you properly. Getting a therapist can take a while though..
Here is Chet's dilation info http://www.chet-plasticsurgery.com/dr-chettawuts-vaginal-dilatation-instructions/ you can find more by googling. But if you are unable to dilate because you feel violated then this won't help you. I think you gotta get into therapy and prepare yourself for eventual dilation when you have corrective surgery in the future for the depth.
Also idk if this will help you but a common technique to relax if you are tensing due to a panic attack is to tense all the muscles in your body as much as you can and then let go
Hi, Amanda!
Welcome to Susan's.
I am sorry to hear about your problems. If you are reluctant to go back to your surgeon for advice, or if they are not helpful, kanad3's link should give you some help. Hopefully some other post-op ladies will be able to help, also.

Relaxing can be a bit of an issue for those of us without PTSD. When I dilate I put some pillows against the back of my bed and then I position myself so I don't need to use my legs to maintain my position. I then relax everything below the waist. If you have difficulty doing this, try reading or watching TV for a few minutes before starting dilation. Try not to feel rushed and take as much time as you need to prepare.
You might also discuss relaxation techniques with your therapist as they may help in the short term while your dealing with PTSD.
