Title: Misgendered right
Post by: MeTony on April 08, 2018, 08:58:42 AM
A woman (mtf) in closet asked me on facebook if I was going the same way as her because of my female name. Told her I'm ftm and will change my name after summer.

Must be doing something right to be misgendered right. I must look like a dude [emoji4]

@ Tony:  Well, that is really good news.  For, at least, this time being mis-gendered is a good thing!!!!  Perhaps it might be time to get your Facebook page updated sooner instead of later???
Again, thanks for reporting the good news about your transition journey.

That's great to know your being identified the way you want. Friday I had blood work and the called my male name ( not legally changed yet) to go in. I walked up to the counter and they called it again, I said that's me and the response from the tech was "but you don't look like a man". She was so sweet about it and asked some proper and informed questions once I sat down for the blood work.

That gives a nice feeling every time.

Happened again on fb. Yes! Another guy looking for bisexual guys contacted me and thought I was a guy about to transform to woman as he put it.

Maybe I need to change my name. This is a new delicate problem. Well maybe not a problem, but I cause confusion in the LGBT-community. Haha

My picture with short hair people assume I'm ftm so I know how you feel... it takes a lot longer to grow out hair long than it does to cut it short obviously
