Okay i don't know if this is just me but, it seems like with my longer hair it sheds more. Maybe it sheds the same but now I see them cause they are long. I know I am not balding, lol. Not cool if I was. It seemed to thicken some and the texture is different. Is it just me or does the longer hair shed more? Enlighten me everyone.
Your probably not balding and you are probably right in that it is because it is longer, you notice it.
Wikipedia says you are allowed to lose 100 strands of hair per day before it is considered hair-loss.

The amount of hair in my brush is huge, but my hair is still growing longer every year.
I'm noticing the same thing as OP. This is the first time my hair is past my ears in actual length since pre puberty. So as far as I can remember it's the first time. I'm noticing a lot of shedding but it's not just the longer hairs, I see some of the shorter ones (still longer than my hair before officially starting to grow it out). I don't know if my hair texture and appearance has changed but I think it has. I think it's gotten "prettier" on estrogen as far as I can tell.

I notice it when in the shower I use conditioner. I think it just makes the hair slick so the shed ones all come loose at once.
Well thank you google for all your great help, lol!!!! 100 hairs a day. That seems like a lot to me....
