At my daughters and we are around the kitchen counter, Me, my wife, my daughter, and 6 yr old granddaughter.
My wife makes the comment, "We need a girls day out, all of us. Papa too." Papa is what granddaughter calls me.
My granddaughter goes, "Papa can't go, he's a boy"
I just looked at her, took a step back and opened up my sweater so she could see my whole outfit.
She proceeded to go into the full feint scene, groaning, closing her eyes and sliding off my daughters lap onto the floor and just laid there.
She's just a drama queen ham and I guess I'm still just "Silly Papa" :D
That sounds quite sweet. :D
Faith that sounds like a great papa granddaughter experience. One to be remembered fondly for a lifetime. Cherish it Faith grand kids are precious.
I was also called Papa by my grandchildren. All I have is my memories of them now.
Hugs,
Laurie
Kids are so cute. Several years ago when I was being"kinky" I got into to painting mine and my wife's nails all the time. Our granddaughter cane for a visit and saw my nails and asked why. I told her I had been practicing for her and then sat down and did her nails too. Great bonding and we loved it. Guess I should have taken that as a start. Lol
Now many years later and who would have know I'd be grandma
Most kids speak their minds, my granddaughter is even more so. She's not afraid to tell you straight up and make a show out of it. She's also a total selfie addict, reminds me of a certain Natalie. I think they both went to the same selfie school.
My niece still calls me "uncle" Ame. I let it slide. My job isn't to control what comes out of the mouths of others. What matters is not how others see me, but how I see myself. Stole that quote from Louise's dad from Teen Witch. A 1989 film. ;D
