Title: Coming out to your parents
Post by: Teddy79 on April 22, 2018, 05:24:26 PM
Let me hear your horror stories. I am hust living mine and I am ready to cut them out of my life. There are 5000 miles between us so that's perfectly doable. our relationship has never been great, and I just don't have the extra energy to be drained by them. Tell me I am not the only one - or tell me how your parents did come around.

Teddy, I am sorry your parents are not taking it well.

I started my transition a year after my Mom died. My Dad died 27 years ago. There is a story behind them, me getting married and wanting to please them. If I could go back it would be very different. We can not go back or change the past but we can look to the future and do what makes us happy. You need to live your life and not live your life for someone else.
